- taking into account the whole hospital system as well as the
components of the system for purposes of
synthesis (i.e., looking at and managing the hospital as a
whole),
alignment (i.e., promoting consistency of all plans,
processes, evaluations, actions of the component
systems to support the whole hospital’s goals) and
integration (i.e, making all components function as an
interconnected unit).
