This document presents a study on the anti-diarrheal activity of Toddalia asiatica using castor oil-induced diarrhea in rats. The results indicate that the extract significantly reduces both the frequency of defecation and the weight of intestinal contents compared to controls, suggesting spasmolytic and anti-enteropooling effects. Conclusions highlight the potential mechanisms of action involving inhibition of intestinal fluid secretion and interaction with adrenergic and muscarinic receptors.
