AB Minerals’ new method to process Tantalite bearing ores into high
purity Tantalum powder (a critical metal used for capacitors,

• Historically, the barrier of placing a Tantalite processing plant
near the source of the minerals has been the processing
method; which requires the use of hydrofluoric acid (HF).
• AB Minerals’ revolutionary processing technology does not use
HF. It is a more environmentally friendly, low cost and energy
efficient solution. It is a closed system with any off gassing fed
back into the process. Waste materials are generally inert.

6. Watts, Griffis and McOuat – Due Diligence
WGM and its associates have completed an extensive due diligence review of the
project, including reviewing all aspects of the process, travelling to Rwanda to meet
the people, and speaking to the technical team. They can provide an independent
detailed report on issues investors may wish to review in more depth, including:
• Scientific validity of the new process and engineering opinion as to the
scalability of our process;
• Comments on the energy requirements and environmental aspects in
comparison to the current process. In particular that the process does not use of
hydrofluoric acid, is a closed system with any off gassing feeding back into the
process, and waste materials are generally inert;
• Conflict mineral management systems using ITRI process supplemented by the
Better Sourcing Program system developed by AVX Corp;

7. Benefits of In-Country Processing
• Processing of entire yearly coltan production in-country – In a short
period of time, AB Minerals could implement enough processing
capacity to process all coltan produced in an entire country.
• Benefit to the Miners – By organizing the miners to deliver their ore
directly to the smelter would eliminate the need for Agents and
transport costs of raw material to foreign smelters. Added benefits
could then accrue to miners in the form of higher pay for their
production.
• Benefit to the Country – As most coltan smelters are in China, in-
country processing would bring back most of the mineral value to
each country, rather than exporting it. The sale of value-added
products, compared to raw concentrate, will generate larger tax
revenues for the government, which can then be used to fund the
building of infrastructure and other projects in the country.

8. Changing the Industry & the
World Perception of Coltan
• Coltan producing countries will require a concerted effort to implement
country wide supply chain integrity, as regulated in the Dodd-Frank
legislation. Coltan miners will need to fully implement and comply with
iTRi regulations. The incentive for the miners to do so, will be driven
by significantly improved economics by dealing directly with the in-
country smelter.
• All mining organizations will be obligated to join and comply with the
rules of iTRi in order to sell to our smelters, gaining access to higher
prices for their coltan. The alternative, smuggle the coltan out of
country at significantly lower prices, to Chinese smelters which tend to
be less concerned with the origin of the coltan they process.
• The Company will have a division to educate the miners on how to
enter and comply with the iTRi system, and gain direct selling access to
the local smelter.

• High level equipment that enables our lab to see how the tantalum and
niobium are bound together before separation, will allow us to create a
library on each mine and the quality of their respective coltan.
• The Company also intends to implement the Better Sourcing Program
(BSP) to further aid in supply chain integrity. William Millman, a
participant in the development of BSP is an Advisor to the Company.
• Smuggling Activities/Non-Certified ore can be easily identified through
these programs.
• Business practices change when there is a significantly increased value
proposition available. Our processing method is the only one that can
work in Africa, as it was created to address the challenges of operating in
African countries.
• AB Minerals proposes lifting the cloud that hovers over the coltan mining
industry and providing it with a significant value addition, provided that
governments are willing to provide significant support for the project.

& Plant Construction

equipment and metallurgical expertise, prior to building
and exporting the plants

• The AB Minerals technology is a complete, low cost redesign of how
processing is done, something that hasn’t changed significantly in
more than 60 years
• To conform with the stricter environmental requirements of today,
the Company has developed a safer and more efficient way to
separate tantalum and niobium into high-purity products.

12. What is Tantalum & Niobium Used For?
The plant will produce metallurgical grade Tantalum powder and
Niobium hydroxide.
• Tantalum is widely used in modern electronics – capacitors,
microchips, optoelectronic & acoustoelectronic devices, optics,
as additives and coatings, special alloys manufacturing and the
nuclear industry, to name a few.
• The most important application for Niobium is as an alloying
element to strengthen high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) steels
used in automobiles, high-pressure gas transmission pipelines
and jet engines. When these superconducting alloys are
combined with titanium and tin, they are widely used in the
superconducting magnets of MRI scanners.

Scale Mining Companies and Cooperatives who represent a
significant amount of the total miners in many countries.

2012. He is the Founder of AB Minerals Corp., and has over 30 years
experience in assisting and advising private and public companies;

He has assembled a team of experienced chemical, metallurgical,

financial consultant. He has been involved in all facets of public
companies for more than 25 years. He is an experienced director and
senior officer who has represented public companies in many different

Markets Ltd. - has been involved in all aspects of the capacitor industry for over
40 years including R&D, engineering, manufacturing, materials, process, new
product development, and quality. More recently he has been focused on the
development of models for responsible sourcing of conflict free tantalum minerals
through innovative initiatives.
Mr. Millman recently retired as the Director of Corporate Quality for AVX
Corporation (one of the world’s largest Tantalum users), after 40 years with the
company. He has been elected President of the Tantalum International Study
Centre (TIC), an international community from the tantalum industry, for three
terms (1997-98, 2004-05, 2005-06) and has been an Executive member of the TIC
Committee for 29 years.
• Advisor: Nikolas Perrault, CFA - CEO, Twilight Capital - is a Chartered Financial
Analyst and CEO of a management consulting company providing strategic advice
to energy and resource companies. He has over 25 years experience in brokerage,
investment banking, M&A, and as a senior executive of mining companies. His
focus throughout his career has been on small cap resource companies worldwide
which has allowed him to develop an extensive international network.

Engineer - Mr. Bolu has worked in the mineral processing and engineering
industry for over 39 years. His professional career includes plant operations/
management, process trouble shooting, design/development, project feasibility/
economic studies, technical/due diligence analyses, detail design, and plant
commissioning spanning over five continents.
BOMENCO Inc. is a minerals engineering and consulting company focused on
extractive metallurgy and mineral processing. Their strength is their associates
and experience: their engineers & technical personnel each bring many years of
practical experience in the design and operation of minerals processing plants in
