The organizers carefully design promo materials and focus promotion on word-of-mouth to attract the "right people" who are open to new experiences. A LIL’ LOUDER
In a city where the people who aren't sheeps of the melancholy
scene complain of little to do, A LIL' LOUDER was created to
give these people something they could call their own. Almost
a year ago Jus Cuz. and Pretty Face Posse had the idea of
pooling together their love of reggae, hip-hop, and electronic
music to form what would be titled A LIL' LOUDER. The name
is a representation of always wanted to push things to the next
level, and not settling for status quo. Despite some skepticism
in the beginning, A LIL' LOUDER has grown to become
Goodlife's best Thursday night and one of Boston's most
popular monthly parties. Those who are regulars of the night
have come to love and appreciate the diverse mix of music,
people and design.
Everything has been perfectly calculated; from the design of
the flyers, the sound track of the promo videos and how we
promote the party. Unlike most nights in Boston that are trying
to fill their party with as many people, we are more focused on
getting the "right people". Those who are not afraid to step out
of their comfort zone. This means the majority of our promotion
is focused on word of mouth and friend's of friends. We
encourage our regulars to bring a new friend every month and
those new friends are always converted to regulars who in turn
bring a friend next time they attend.
While the primary focus of the party is to have fun, play cutting
edge music and provide an alternative; the party is also a
creative outlet for those involved and is treated more as a
brand with many segments then a party. A LIL' LOUDER is
composed of like-minded individuals whose day jobs include
graphic designers, apparel designers, web designers,
photographers, and marketers for companies such as PUMA,
Reebok, Bodega Boston, Red Bull and the Artist For Humanity
Center. We have utilize the skills we have perfected in our day
jobs to create a brand that represents us and what our vision
of what Boston has been missing for years. ∆
