“A heroic act “
It was a sunny day and two boys decided to go to the river to relax and play football. They
were playing very near by a canal, but no one noticed that.
They began to play as they usually did, having fun. They were excited and anxious, because
they were having a competition the next week.
Everything was fine, but suddenly one of them throw the ball so the other boy ran as fast as he
could, until he managed to get the ball, but when he hold it he stumbled upon a stone and fell
in a canal.
Immediately, the other boy ran to his friend and tried to help him get out of the canal, but
could not because the currents were very strong.
The other boy did not know what to do. He could not swim and there was nobody around to
ask for help. He was very nervous and worried.
Fortunately, there was an ex-police officer that was walking with his dog saw them and tried
to rescued the boy that was in the canal while the other was trying to call an ambulance.
There were many people watching the accident. The ex police made a plan to rescue the boy.
He took a branch that was there and throw it into water so the child could grab it. The police
and other men who were there helped him taking the child out of the water.
Finally, the child was rescued unharmed and was taken to hospital with his friend. In the
hospital, their parents thanked the policeman for the heroic act he had done.
Now, the two boys are taking swimming classes, and one of them is one of the best swimmers
in the town. The other boy is still playing football.
