when the ball is to be kicked or carried or thrown in using hands. Corner kick arises when
the ball surpasses the goalie but doesn’t land in between the goal posts area.
The offside rule restricts the movement of players while play time. At all times whenever
a player receives the possession of the ball he/she must have opponent players in front of
them or when he tries to possess the ball he should over take the opponent players and
then gets the possession. If he violates these rules and scores a goal, the goal is
considered to be invalid.
The penalty kick is another nail-biting event. Often it happens when crucial games end in
draw or when player injures the opponent player purposefully in pursuit for the ball
within a boundary from the goal post. This allows the injured player or any member from
the same team an attempt to score a goal without any obstacles apart from the goalie
alone and all he has to do is surpass him and place the ball between the two goal posts.
Thus Nations fighting hard in pursuit for goals and championships, off sides, penalties,
additional time added in the end. Goals scored at the last second. Teams that have come
so close and yet couldn’t make the final cut, makes this game very exiting and prestigious
for many nations.
The FIFA World Cup as we know is conducted every four years. It was initially
inaugurated in 1930. 32 teams participate to be crowned as world champs. The craze for
the game spreads like a virus. Even when the world cup season is over various countries
host several club games such as the EPL, Spanish league, Bundeslega etc, involving
various clubs from different countries as well as players from different cultures and
societies.
