Texas has emerged as the fastest growing wind energy market in the world due to a combination of excellent wind resources, a conducive and minimal permitting process, and regulatory incentives that encourage wind development. The state also benefits from a wind-friendly power grid operator that provides transmission infrastructure and forecasting support, as well as competitive energy markets that attract investment and provide options for selling wind power.
