On September 11, 2001, four commercial airplanes were hijacked by terrorists. Two planes crashed into the World Trade Center towers in New York City, one crashed into the Pentagon building near Washington D.C., and another crashed in a field in Pennsylvania. Nearly 3,000 people lost their lives in the attacks. The document includes photos from the 9/11 sites commemorating those who perished.
