The Creative Classroom: Never Mind the Textbook, where do the ideas come from? Keywords English
A lecture on the creative classroom delivered for ELT teachers in Slovenia. While creativity is such a broad concept, it can be difficult to contextualise creativity into classroom practice. With diverse learning needs the norm in any classroom setting, textbooks act as a mere guide to the curriculum. In order to deliver highly personalised learning, we need to know and understand the needs of our learners. This presentation examines how my own levels of creativity were informed by the learning needs of my learners and my progression into mobile learning and entrepreneurship is an example of how my own classroom practice has evolved.
