WTF - Why the Future Is Up to Us - pptx versionTim O'Reilly
This is the talk I gave January 12, 2017 at the G20/OECD Conference on the Digital Future in Berlin. I talk about fitness landscapes as applied to technology and business, the role of unchecked financialization in the state of our politics and economy, and why technology really wants to create jobs, not destroy them. (There is a separate PDF version, but some readers said the notes were too fuzzy to read.)
1. The document discusses the properties and uses of white charcoal from the screw pine plant.
2. White charcoal has antibacterial and deodorizing properties. It can be used as an ingredient in products like soap, toothpaste, and deodorant to eliminate odors and bacteria.
3. The charcoal is made through a process of heating the screw pine plant material without oxygen to produce a substance that is white in color, porous, and pH neutral.

1. The document discusses three types of exercise: isokinetic exercise, anaerobic exercise, and aerobic exercise.
2. It provides a table comparing the three exercises based on intensity, duration, energy system used, and examples.
3. The table shows that isokinetic exercise has the highest intensity but shortest duration, anaerobic is high intensity with intermediate duration, and aerobic has lowest intensity but longest duration.
This document lists 8 steps to create a blog: 1) choose a blogging platform, 2) pick a blog name and URL, 3) design the layout and appearance, 4) write content in a consistent tone and style, 5) promote the blog on social media and other sites, 6) regularly publish new posts, 7) engage with readers through comments, and 8) analyze statistics and feedback to improve the blog over time. It also provides examples of blog URLs.
1. The passage discusses solutions to feeding the growing global population such as vertical farming that involves growing food in skyscrapers located in urban centers. This could help reduce carbon emissions from transporting food over long distances and provide fresh food near more people.
2. One proposed solution is growing crops inside tall buildings using hydroponics and greenhouse technology already used worldwide. Dickson Despommier believes vertical farming in cities could help address issues of limited farmland and feeding billions more people expected in the coming decades.
3. Erecting in this context means constructing or building.
The document appears to be an answer key listing the correct answers to a biology exam from numbers 1 to 100. Each number is paired with either a 1, 2, 3 or 4, likely corresponding to multiple choice options on the exam questions.
This document appears to be a key or answers to a chemistry exam with 20 multiple choice or short answer questions. The numbers 1-20 are listed with corresponding numbers 1-4, which seem to indicate the question numbers and their correct answers. In summary, this provides the answers to 20 questions on a chemistry exam.
