This document proposes a text messaging service to provide crisis support for young offenders. The service would connect youths in need to their nearest open local support by texting "HELP" to a short code. A demonstration shows how youths could text for help with issues like abuse, drugs, mental health and receive immediate details of accessible support centers. The proposal suggests piloting the service with a Youth Offending Team and funding it through small reallocations of existing prevention budgets, aiming to provide a cost-effective supportive tool.
