Headline: An important or sensational piece of news at the top of a

The archipelago: news in local area.
World: news in different continents, such as Africa, the Americas,
Europe, and Asia.
People: news of famous people.
Reader’s forum: part where a reader writes into the newspaper to
express his/her opinion about something that was written.
Business: news that are happening business-wise
Weather forecast: news of the weather, where ever you may need to
know.
Classifieds: a form of advertising items they wish to sell or buy.
Sports: news of the last night match, a player on a team, etc
G. Metode/ tekhnik pembelajaran:
Two stay four stray
H. Langkah-langkah kegiatan
Kegiatan awal
 Guru menyapa siswa
 Guru mengabsen kehadiran siswa
 Guru memeriksa kesiapan siswa dengan melakukan brain gym game.
 Guru memperlihatkan siswa sebuah Koran.
 Guru bertanya kepada siswa mengenai bagian-bagian Koran yang
mereka ketahui.
 Guru menjelaskan tujuan pembelajaran.
Kegiatan inti
Exprorasi:
 Siswa diminta untuk menulis bagian-bagian Koran kembali di papan
tulis.
 Siswa diberi penjelaskan bagian-bagian koran.
 Siswa diperlihatkan berberapa judul berita.
 Siwa diminta untuk menemukan bagian Koran yang sesuai dengan
judul berita yg diperlihatkan.
Elaborasi:
 Siswa dibagi menjadi beberapa kelompok yang terdiri dari 6 orang.
 Siswa diberikan diberikan lembar kerja 1.
 Siswa secara berkolompok diminta mengisi kolom kosoang dengan
kata yang tepat dan menemukan makna kata.
 Siswa diberikan pertanyaan mengenai teks lembar kerja 1 secara
lisan (kejadian, tempat, waktu, etc).
 Siswa diminta untuk tetap bekerja dalam grup semula.
 Siswa diberikan potongan paragraph teks The Earthquake in Japan
Cause of Tsunami.
 Siswa diberikan penjelasan dan peraturan mengenai kegiatan two
stay four stray.
1. Each group will be given part of text.
2. Each group has to understand the part of the text.
3. Decided two persons who will stay, and four persons who
become the reporters and visit the other group.
4. Students who stay have to explain the part of the text that
they have.
5. Students who stray have to ask to the group that is visited
about their part of the text.
6. Back to your home group and share what you have got from
the other group.
7. Each group rewrites the news that you have got.
 Siswa diminta untuk mengerjakan kegiatan two stay four stray.

The Earthquake in Japan Cause of Tsunami
The people of Japan definitely need our thoughts of prayers. At 2.46 p.m local
tine, the northeast coast Japan was struck by an 8.9 magnitude earthquake, about 90 miles
offshore.
The earthquake resulted in a tsunami causing waves of more than 12 feet to come
roaring inland. A second major earthquake of 7.4 magnitudes was reported as aftershocks
shook the region. Several buildings in Japan are reported to be on fire and all
transportation system, including airports, have been closed in Tokyo.
Singer/ songwriter Marie Digby is currently in Japan and has been tweeting about
the devastating disaster. Around 8 p.m., she tweeted: ‘oh! Wooow!! Big earthquake in
Tokyo!!’ and then around 11.30 p.m. she tweeted: ‘this unbelievable! We are still
shaking.’ We are praying for everyone in Japan.

Tujuan pembelajaran Dalam pertemuan ini siswa diharapkan dapat: Mengungkapkan makna kata yang terdapat dalam teks Mengidentifikasi bagian-bagian dalam Koran. Mengidentifikasi topik dalam teks yang dibaca. Mengidentifikasi informasi tertentu teks dibaca. Menulis teks news item. F. Materi pokok Generic structure: Newsworthy events/ main event: recount the event in summary form Background events: elaborate what happened, to whom, in what circumstances. Source: comments by participant, witnesses and authorities on the event. News paper parts Headline: An important or sensational piece of news at the top of a newspaper article Opinion: An article in which the people who run a newspaper give their opinion on an important issue. The archipelago: news in local area. World: news in different continents, such as Africa, the Americas, Europe, and Asia. People: news of famous people. Reader’s forum: part where a reader writes into the newspaper to express his/her opinion about something that was written.

Sports: news of the last night match, a player on a team, etc G. Metode/ tekhnik pembelajaran: Two stay four stray H. Langkah-langkah kegiatan Kegiatan awal  Guru menyapa siswa  Guru mengabsen kehadiran siswa  Guru memeriksa kesiapan siswa dengan melakukan brain gym game.  Guru memperlihatkan siswa sebuah Koran.  Guru bertanya kepada siswa mengenai bagian-bagian Koran yang mereka ketahui.  Guru menjelaskan tujuan pembelajaran. Kegiatan inti Exprorasi:  Siswa diminta untuk menulis bagian-bagian Koran kembali di papan tulis.  Siswa diberi penjelaskan bagian-bagian koran.  Siswa diperlihatkan berberapa judul berita.  Siwa diminta untuk menemukan bagian Koran yang sesuai dengan judul berita yg diperlihatkan.   • 4.  Siswa dibagi menjadi beberapa kelompok yang terdiri dari 6 orang.  Siswa diberikan diberikan lembar kerja 1.  Siswa secara berkolompok diminta mengisi kolom kosoang dengan kata yang tepat dan menemukan makna kata.  Siswa diberikan pertanyaan mengenai teks lembar kerja 1 secara lisan (kejadian, tempat, waktu, etc).  Siswa diminta untuk tetap bekerja dalam grup semula.  Siswa diberikan potongan paragraph teks The Earthquake in Japan Cause of Tsunami.  Siswa diberikan penjelasan dan peraturan mengenai kegiatan two stay four stray. 1. Each group will be given part of text. 2. Each group has to understand the part of the text. 3. Decided two persons who will stay, and four persons who become the reporters and visit the other group. 4. Students who stay have to explain the part of the text that they have. 5. Students who stray have to ask to the group that is visited about their part of the text. 6. Back to your home group and share what you have got from the other group. 7.
