my memories about my
life doing a sin.
Example: I like to talk
about the expensive car I
had and the rich people I
deal with when I was
sealing an illicit product.

4. If I regret that I didn’t take
advantage of the sin I was
doing, It means I don’t really
regret what I was doing.
Example: I regret I didn’t ask
bigger bribes so I could buy a
bigger home.

5. If I envy successful people who are
doing the same sin I have done in
the past , it means I don’t really
regret what I was doing.
Example:
I was doing mortgage business and
I repent but I am envious toward
my colleague who become
millionaire.

6. If I have a feeling of bitterness
or sadness that my
repentance prevent me from
worldly opportunities, it
means I did not really repent.
Example: if I think the hijab is
in my way to have higher
position in my job.

7. If I have Fantasy about ideas of
doing sin and I don’t reject the
thought about an imaginary
scenario of doing sin, it means I
did not really regret.
Example: someone was doing
fornication and he repent, if he has
fantasy about possible haram it
mean he does not really regret
what he did.

8. If I am happy for the success of a
person who is doing the same sin I
was doing , it mean I didn’t really
repent.
Example: If I am very happy that a
person who steal money was not
caught, it means I did not regret
doing my sin.
