2. About Me....
Father of 4 (eldest 20, youngest 6
months)
Family man
Started online (properly) in 2007
Professional singer for 6 years, still tour
Collect comic books/art/figures and
more...
much to wife’s annoyance
3. I want to show you a couple of my sites...
And explain why all the fuss out there about SEO being
dead and nothing working any more is complete and total
rubbish.....
These aren’t my newest sites... We’re going to make them
together over these course...
But they both prove a couple of points...
5. Clickbank Analytic Stats for WoW...
I haven’t touched this site for more than a year and a half.....
And some of those stats are for one page free sites that I don’t
even remember doing they are that long ago....
6. WoW-Guide-World.com
•Not touched for about 2 years
•Still gets visits EVERY SINGLE DAY
•A week to make and to date has earned over £3000
•Domain name breaks every rule we are told pretty
much
•With some tweaks, would earn even more... I just
keep leaving it and leaving it! Lol!
Another site to show you is...
15. BestStrollers2012.org
NEWSFLASH!!!!
£1500-£2000 A YEAR WON’T LET YOU QUIT YOUR DAY JOB....
Simple (ugly?) looking site
Not touched for at least 6-8 months
Still gets traffic every day even though it’s a
seasonal domain name
GREAT for linking out to the new sites I make
So with these two sites I have earned a grand total of (only) about
£2500 over the last 12-18 months.....
16. BUT...
These aren’t the best earners I have by a
LOOOOONG way...
And a portfolio of 10-20 of even these sites would
mean £15,000 to £40,000 a year...
And that CAN be enough to quit your day job...
if that’s what fits your lifestyle ;)
17. And freebie sites is where it all starts...
Everything we learn when we are
going through the process to get out
free sites out there will be relevant
when we come to make our full mini
sites later on.
Nothing is wasted.
18. So why free sites?
• No technical stuff
• FTP
• HTML (well maybe a little...)
• Hosting
• DNS
• Etc.
• Etc.
19. So why free sites?
• Get stuff up there nice and fast
• You use their reputation so less SEO needed
• Certain freebie sites get high up the rankings
• People love to go to them to find out about
stuff – they respect what they say
20. So why NOT free sites?
• You don’t really own your page
• They may not allow what you want to
promote
• They can change the rules when they want
• You can’t sell your assets on (not totally true...
Lol!)
• They control what it can look like to a certain
degree
21. But...
• It’s an AWESOME starting point when you
want to test things out
• It’s a HUGE boost when even a couple of
dollars comes in from something you didn’t
spend out on
• They can stick around for a long time
• They can help with links to your mini sites
later down the road
22. So what steps will we take?
• Finding a niche
• Finding what to sell
• Finding keywords
• Finding some content
• Setting up accounts and what free sites to use
• Making a web page (easier than you’d think)
• How to set up your page for maximum return
• Promotion
• Making Money
• And anything else YOU need me to do... TOGETHER.
24. Before you can start to look at building any sort of
page, whether it’s a free one or part of a mini site
you need to find an area to promote in.
This is known as a niche...
or pronounced ‘nitch’ depending on where you are in the world
25. What makes a good niche?
Health
Wealth
Love
Hobbies (the more expensive the better)
Nerdy Stuff
26. HEALTH
This is always going to be a good one as people are
concerned with this all the time.
E.g. Weight loss, keep fit, skin care, spots, warts, learn
to jump higher, sports training, cures for everything
27. WEALTH
Money makes the world go around...
Work from home, internet
marketing, ecommerce, forex, also mind set such as
visualising technique
28. LOVE
This is something that most people will be affected by
at some time or another
Marriage, Get Ex
Back, pregnancy, babies, weddings, gift ideas at
valentines... Even pick up techniques
29. HOBBIES
People with an interest that involves buying expensive
equipment or training or subscriptions
Golf, Tennis, Bowling, Comic
books, crafts, scrapbooking, online gaming (WoW NOT
apps)
31. EVERYTHING ELSE!
If it is a little bit off the wall or bizarre and you can buy
something to use in the niche.... Chances are it’ll sell!
In fact... The crazier or more embarrasing the better...
33. GOOD THINGS TO LOOK FOR
Ideally need to come back for more so repeat business
Need more than one type of thing to do it
Can’t be done with free things... So they need to buy
34. WHERE TO LOOK FOR NICHES
Problems/Solutions
What you know and what you love
The room you’re in
High street/Shopping Mall
Outside
Your Family and what they do
TV and Infomercials
Oprah method
and more...
35. HOW TO FIND THOSE NICHES
Take the keywords we have noted down in the last
steps and start playing around on sites with them....
Check out the full webinar for all the techniques as we
ran over that time too
38. Finding the niche/sub-niche/micro-niche

micro very early on in which case AWESOME!
But if you didn’t here’s how to find them out....

Coaching with Alex Copeland - Copyright 2013
49. Everything we are doing with SEO etc boils down to
good content, always has, even more so now...
Help people and they will be happy to see what you
recommend...
50. Don’t sell to them, just give them
something that Amazon etc doesn’t...
Add your own slant to the
product/topic, especially if you have
experience....
51. Not a personal experience?
Either act as a ghost writer or write it
as if you are reporting someone else...
“Jane, my friend said....”

63. Here’s what I found...
From just a half hour or so of looking around with broad
phrases such as...
Vocal coaching
vocal guides
help with singing
singing problems
67. take care of your voice, don't scream
sing with diaphragm, not throat
milk, cheese and diary produce extra mucus so avoid
them just before performance
start with easier songs, don't try and sing Adele first
time out
Tips:

SQUIDOO
76. Things to note about Squidoo:
Just had a major clamp down...

http://www.squidoo.com/squidoo-policy-update
77. Things to note about Squidoo:
Don’t overly promote, so not too many affiliate links
Mix up your links
Not always affiliate stuff, link elsewhere too
Check out the SquidDon’t list
http://www.squidoo.com/squiddont
78. Things to note about Squidoo:
They DO want you to sell stuff on there...
just add quality info and content..
http://hq.squidoo.com/squid-news/the-new-amazon-prompt/
79. Things to note about Squidoo:
Straight from the policy page
“A good rule of thumb is this: Ask yourself if your lens is supporting an
affiliate program; if your lens is using content that someone else gave you to
add to the page; if your lens is trying to make money by pushing readers to an
affiliate program; if your lens is really on a topic that you're interested in, have
direct experience with, and isn't JUST trying to turn a sale. Once you answer
these questions honestly to yourself, you'll probably have your own answer
about whether you should spend your time trying to publish those kinds of
lenses here or not.”
Write passionately, write good original content, don’t try and
game the system, that’s not what it’s about...
80. Some questions from FFL about Squidoo:
Can you make a full time income from Squidoo?
Honestly.... Probably not... But it can be a nice bit of extra money... Some
people have gone on to what is called the ‘Top Tier’ on Squidoo and these
earn good cash... But that is only a very small percentage compared to the
total number of users on there...
However, it IS a great way to sharpen your skills writing and finding
niches, and if it converts on Squidoo, no matter how small the money, it can
convert on your own sites once you get them ranked...
And if you add other free sites to the mix you could make an even nicer
amount of money without a single expense...
81. Some questions from FFL about Squidoo:
How long does it take start to finish - picking niches to producing a lens?
This is relative, everyone works at different speeds and has different skill
sets... I can find a niche, find the product, find the keywords, find the content
and set up my Squidoo account and first lens all within 3-4 hours if I am
working hard on it, but I have a good knowledge of the process and what I am
looking for.
Don’t worry too much about how long it takes, it gets quicker, and even if it
takes longer than you would like it will still get done.
Remember, the way to eat an elephant is still one bite at a time
82. Setting up your account:
Go to www.squidoo.com
Make a free account
Use whatever email makes sense
You can always create a hotmail one for this... alexvocalcoaching@hotmail.com
Choose your username
Another question was ‘Is your username important?”
83. Setting up your profile
Add first and last name
Type bio – can be changed
Add image
Use a real one and of your face, people love to see who is giving them the advice
84. Setting up how you get paid...
Settings -> Payouts
PayPal email address
Click ‘I want cash’ and update all
Change payout threshold to $1
85. Setting up our first page...
Dashboard -> Create Lens
Title
one of your keywords
URL
they do this for you
Topic
Rating
Tags
other keywords
86. Setting up our first page...
Add Modules
Intro Module (1)
Video Module (1)
Product Module (Amazon if applicable, text if not) (1 or 2)
Text Modules (at least 3)
Guestbook/Poll (1)
87. What Order is best?
No set rules but I like...
Intro
Product we are selling
Good information
Something pretty
More Information
Even more information
Product again
Something for them to join in with
88. Let’s go add some content!
Intro Module
Add a good image and describe what this page is
about, try and include keywords if they make sense...
But don’t force it.
90. Adding content continued...
And this is the other products way...
IMPORTANT – MAKE SURE WHAT YOU ARE SELLING IS ALLOWED
OR YOU ARE WASTING AN AWFUL LOT OF TIME!!!
http://www.squidoo.com/squiddont
91. Adding content continued...
And just in case I haven’t mentioned it
You MUST add value to these links... Amazon and otherwise...
Think personal recommendations, NOT long lists of products
you want to make money on...
92. Adding content continued...
Video Module
Something nice for people to look at
Also means they should stay on your page a bit longer and give
the rest of it a chance....
94. Adding content continued...
The all important information...
This is what will make or break the page, we are here to add
genuine value to this subject.
Try and use a keyword per module related to your subject
95. Couple other points:
Table of contents – turn it on
Related lenses – turn it on
Later we will add our own to this...
96. And there you have the basics of your
first free page...
Obviously I am going to go back through mine and make
it better, add some more of the information I have
collected... But basically we have just built a site
97. So let’s check mine out...
http://www.squidoo.com/vocal-warm-ups-for-singing
98. More of the where and how...
Coaching with Alex Copeland - Copyright 2013
100. Go and create a Google account or
use one you already have if it fits...
Easy to do.. I’ve made mine similar to the
alexvocalcoaching we used for Squidoo
Once we have this created go to Youtube...
101. You can have multiple accounts under
the same main one...
I have my coaching one and this one in the same
login, but different channels...
As long as both are logged in you can swap
between them...
Do this for all your niches.
102. You need to make a video...
Not as hard as it sounds...
105. Webcam
If you are happy being on screen then just record
yourself talking through the product or idea...
106. Once you have the video you need to
upload it...
And apply some VSEO
(Video Search Engine Optimization)
107. Keywords...
Use the same ones that you have been using on
the other free sites so far...
Couple of places to put these...
Even add whole other article...
108. Link back...
Put the url of one of your other free sites that
contain your affiliate links at the top of the
description...
109. Get a little social...
Join some other channels, like some videos, add
some comments...
Join in and you could get people looking back at
yours as well...
110. The more views and likes you get the
better...
If you want to spend a little you can find these on
places like fiverr... Just make sure you get the
real ones not automated...
You can also just wait for the rankings to
hopefully kick in...
111. Now you have your own videos based
around your niche....
So use them in your other free sites as content...
It’s a win/win situation as they all belong to
you...
Check out mine...
http://www.youtube.com/alexvocalcoaching
112. Next we look at:
PINTEREST
https://pinterest.com
Sign up for a free account...
113. .... As mentioned before Pinterest is
very visual so go check out the full
webinar for this...
Mine is here...
http://pinterest.com/alvocalcoaching
114. So what am I going to do next?
make video of squidoo page
make video of article on squidoo page
make animoto using the images
more lenses, add them to the other lenses
115. PHEW!!!!!
NOW THAT WAS A MAMMOTH
