The first greatest sin is "Shirk." The sin of associating partners with Allah stands as a colossal mountain
between us and our Creator. For He alone deserves our undivided devotion. There are two kinds of Shirk:
The major Shirk and the minor Shirk. Major Shirk involves directly associating partners with Allah in His
divinity, worship, or attributes. it could involve worshiping idols, saints, angels, or any other entity as
equals to Allah. Major Shirk is considered a direct violation of the concept of Tawhid (the oneness of
Allah) and is considered unforgivable unless one truly repents before death. Minor Shirk: this form of
Shirk involves actions or beliefs that might not directly equate others with Allah but still undermine the
sincerity of worship and faith. For example, showing off in acts of worship to gain praise from people
rather than seeking Allah’s pleasure or excessively relying on charms, amulets, or superstitions instead of
relying solely on Allah’s power. As Allah says in the Holy Quran, "Indeed Allah does not forgive
associating partners with him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom he wills. And whoever
associates others with Allah has certainly gone for stray".
The second greatest sin is backbiting and slander. These sins seep into our attraction, crowding the
bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood that Islam champions. fear Allah, and let not your tongue be a
weapon against your fellow believers. As Allah says in the Holy Quran, "O you who have believed, Avoid
much [negative] Assumption. indeed, some Assumption is sin. And do not spy or backbite each other.
Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his brother when dead? You would detest it. And fear Allah;
indeed, Allah accepts repentance and merciful". Injustice can manifest in various forms, such as denying
rights, discrimination, exploitation, oppression, corruption, taking property unjustly, wrongful accusations,
and taking a life unjustly. The sanctity of life is a divine decree, and to take it without just cause is to
challenge the very order Allah has ordained. As Allah says in the Holy Quran, it does not kill the soul
which Allah has forbidden except by right, and whoever is killed unjustly, we have given his here authority
but let him not exceed limits in the matter of taking life. Indeed, he has been supported by the law by
consuming wealth unjustly and indulging in ill-gotten gains, which betrays the trust Allah has placed upon
us as stewards of his bounties.

2. The Quran strongly condemns the act of unjustly consuming wealth, including any form of dishonesty,
fraud, or exploitation in financial matters. As Allah says in the Holy Quran. And do not consume one
another’s wealth unjustly or send it in bribery to the rulers so that they might aid you to consume a portion
of the wealth of the people in sin. At the same time, you know it is unlawful "woe to those who give less
than due, who, when they take a measure from people, take in full. But if they give by measure or by
weight to them, they cause loss, "engaging usury (Riba), this sin turns blessings into curses, as it grows
wealth by exploiting the vulnerable. Fear Allah, for the curse of riba is relentless, and it sows the seeds of
discord in societies. Usury (Riba) engaging in usury is considered exploitative and goes against economic
justice and fairness principles.
The Quran explicitly forbids engaging in usury, gaining interest, or excess profit from financial
transactions. As Allah says in the Holy Quran, "Those who devour usury will not stand except as stand
one whom the devil has driven to[ maddening] by his touch. That is because they say: Trade is just like
usury, but Allah hath permitted trade and forbidden usury. Those who, after receiving directions from their
Lord, desist shall be pardoned for the past; their case is for Allah (to judge); but those who repeat (the
offense) are companions of the fire: they will abide therein (forever one of the greatest sins is disobeying
parents. The Quran emphasizes the importance of treating parents with respect, kindness, and
obedience. Disobeying parents is strongly discouraged in Islam. Allah says in the Holy Quran, "And your
Lord has decreed that you do not worship except Him, and to parents, good treatment. whether one or
both of them reach old age while with you, say not to them so much as ’off; and do not repel them but
speak to them a noble word. Sorcery and witchcraft: These dark arts let us down the path away from
Allah’s light and are condemned as sinful and prohibited practices in the Quran. As Allah says in the Holy
Quran. And they followed [inested] what the devils had recited during the region of Solomon. It was not
Solomon who disbelieved; the devils disbelieved, teaching people magic and what was revealed to the
two angels at Babylon, Harut and Marut. But the two angels do not teach anyone unless they say, ’We
are a trial, so do not disbelieve by practicing magic,’ and yet they learn from them that by which they
cause separation between a man and his wife. but they do not harm anyone through it except with the
permission of Allah. People learn what harms them and do not benefit them. But the children of Israel
certainly knew that whoever purchased the magic would not have any share in the Hereafter. And
wretched is that for which they sold themselves if they only knew. Fleeing from the battlefield in times of
jihad.
The Quran encourages believers to stand firm and not flee from the battlefield during times of jihad
(struggle or warfare in the path of Allah). fleeing from the battlefield without a valid reason is strongly
discouraged. As Allah says in the Holy Quran, "Oh, you who have believed when you meet those who
disbelieve in advancing for battle, do not run to them your backs in the fight. And whoever turns his back
to them on Such a day, unless swerving [as a strategy] for war or joining another company, has certainly
returned with anger upon him from Allah, and his refuge is hell - and wretched the destination. And one of
the greatest sins is Adultery and fornication. These sins defile the sanctity of the self and the institution of
marriage that Allah has ordained. As Allah says. And do not approach unlawful sexual intercourse.
Indeed, it is ever an immorality, and evil is a way. And the last greatest sin is lying and bearing false
witness. These actions chip away at the foundation of trust that society is built upon. Honesty is the
hallmark of a believer. As Allah says, do not mix the truth with falsehood or conceal it while you know [it].
Dear brothers and sisters, let the fear of Allah be the guiding light in our lives. These major sins are but
traps set by the enemy of our souls. let us draw closer to our Creator by seeking His forgiveness and
