General Description
Information:-
• is used to obtain information that is captured by the system. The
following information can be obtained:-
• Event Log - series if events taken place in the machine during
auto run including machine warnings and errors, in
chronological order.
• MIS Display - information about the product that is being
processed in the machine and measurements of machine
performance.
• Temperature - real time temperature reading as measured by
the thermocouples in the Turn Table and Mould Chase for
example.
• State Chart - real time state (active/inactive) of each module
and their sub modules.

General Description (cont.)
• Debug Log - time-based log of hardware changes,
commands/event executing and completed to facilitate the
debugging. The log is password protected and accessed only
by ASM service personnel.
• MIS Display - real time input-output (IO) state from the sensor
and solenoid IO port.
• About - information about the system software version number,
year of issue and the machine configuration.

Information (MIS Display)
The MIS Display
information is in
minutes. The
machine
performance
measurement may
differ from our
method of
measurement. For
example, the MTBF
measurement here
is based on
machine errors that
are not resolved
within 6 minutes.
Our measurement
is machine
breakdown that
requires assistance
by technicians.

Information (Temperature)
The temperature is feedbacked by the temperature controller to the PC and displayed on the
monitor. The frequency of the feedback is programmed by ASM, so there will be a time lag
between the temperature that is is detected by the thermocouple and that is displayed on the
screen. All modules and sub-modules like the Turn Table and Mould Chases that use heating
elements with their temperatures monitored by the system will have their temperatures
displayed here.

Information (IO Port State)
The IO Port State
displays all the
sensors and
solenoids input-
output ports
active/inactive
states. This is
important when we
want to find out
whether the input
devices are
working properly
when we
troubleshoot the
machine.
Green means
active while red
means inactive.

Information (About)
The information in About allows the user to find out whether the system is using the latest
software version. ASM provides software upgrade from time to time (when they have made
some improvements in the system or the software). It is also accessed to find out the
machine configuration of the system like whether it is using magazines for input and output,
whether vision systems are used and at which location, the number of presses in the system,
etc.
