- 3. To Focus • Press the shutter half-way, then finish the shot when ready.
- 4. Focus tips • Zoom in, press half-way, then re-frame the shot.

- 7. Auto mode • Usually good results – cameras are pretty “smart”
- 8. Landscape mode (mountains) • Good for long distance shots • Enhanced colors and contrast, sometimes slower shutter speed
- 9. Sports mode (running man) • Get ready for the score! Press and hold half way... • Try panning, keeps subject focused.
- 10. Night mode (moon/stars) • Open the iris to let more light in • Flash, if used, only lights the foreground
- 13. Problems with night mode • Out of focus? • Camera shake?
