Faculty of Architecture, KMITL, Snatch the championship of “New Younger Architect”
Team ANN – Mr. Thodsaphon Sangchan, Ms. Panadda Teerawatgasorn and Ms. Yada
Yasotorn, students of Faculty of Architecture, KMITL, won the Dulux Let’s Colour Design Contest
Inspired by Colour Futures 2013 Championship. Moreover, the members of Team ANN had an
opportunity to take a field trip in Singapore in October 2013.
Thodsaphon said, their team chose to renovate Slip Din RodFai of Bangramad community at
Taling chan floating market, Bangkok to be an Arts School for children and a tourist attraction
showing the history of his community. They used the idea of Snakes and Ladders that Hindu uses for
teaching dharma and they applied it for teaching arts on a wall. They used perspective lines in front
of the house to attract other people. The pastel colors on their work showed the power of fun and
creativity, white chalk colours conveyed embedded information.
Another, Team Somboon – Mr. Chanslip Pimkhamnerd, Mr. Chanon Punnatrakul, and
Ms.Natthacha Ritthapai – also is one of the last five teams in the playoff with their work at
Goldencare Nursing Home.
Akzo Nobel Paints (Thailand) Limited, a leader in industrial paints and coating products in the
world class, set up this challenge to give an opportunity to students for showing their new ideas to
design and increase the colours of other lives.
