Council for Cultural Relations [ICCR] Empanelled Kathak Dancer and ‘A’ Grade
Artist at Prasar Bharati for Doordarshan, has passed B.A.(Eco) from Mumbai
University, presently studying Mumbai University’s Masters in Performing Arts
degree at Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidyalay, Juhu.
A Balashree awardee with Scholarships holder from CCRT [Central Govt], SPIC
MACAY New Delhi, AAJIVASAN Juhu, TLDF Bandra etc. along with KALAJEEV
Puraskar at Vishakhapattan, UTTUNG Puraskar in Mumbai & NRITYA-MANI award
at Cuttack Mahotsav 2012 at Odisha, Tanvi is the holder of National Scholarship of
Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, New Delhi in Kathak Dance as well Indonesian
Government Arts & Culture Scholarship (IACS) 2016.
A student of Ruia College of Arts, Mumbai, Tanvi had represented Mumbai
University consecutively three years from 2008-09 to 2010-11 at National Level
Inter-University Youth Festivals & won Gold Medals [among 64 universities all
over India] in Indian Classical Dance-Solo, along with GOLDEN GIRL title, Menaka
Trophy & Overall Trophy. As a Cultural Coordinator with University of Mumbai since
Oct.’11 to Jun.’12, her Mumbai University team won Overall Championship trophy along with
Music Trophy among 62 Indian Universities at National Level Inter-University Youth Festival
held at RTM University, Nagpur, in January 2012.
Gold medalist of her school Indian Education Society in 2000 & 2002, Tanvi has performed
at almost every part of India as well at International Music Festival in Bishkek,
Kyrghiz, USSR representing Govt. of India & at 5th
South Asian Universities Youth Festival
held at BRAC University, Dhaka, Bangladesh representing Mumbai University.
Ist Prize winner of Boogie-Woogie & Nupur on Sony & ETV resp, Tanvi had performed Lead
roles in many Ballets, Marathi-Hindi Dramas/Serials, the recent one are Rang Maza
Vegala on SAAM TV & Javai Vikat Ghene Aahe on ZEE MARATHI Channel.
She has choreographed & performed in KUSUMANJALI, a tribute to Dnyanapith winner
late Shri Vi Va Shirwadkar, Salam Marathila, a program in KalaGhoda Festival 2012,
Marathi Dramas “Kone Eke Kali, Ek Saath Namaste & REDIFINE”. Gujarati Dramas “Ek
Chhokari Sav Anokhi & Parnyane Pyara Ladi”, etc.
