them two gardens of grapevines, and We bordered them with palm
trees and placed between them [fields of] crops.
Verse: 33
• Abundance of blesisngs
Each of the two gardens produced its fruit and did not fall short
thereof in anything. And We caused to gush forth within them a river.
Verse: 34
• Taking pride in all blessings
And he had fruit, so he said to his companion while he was conversing
with him, "I am greater than you in wealth and mightier in [numbers
of] men."
Indeed, Allah does not like those who are
self-deluding and boastful.
(An Nisa:36)

Ibn Qayyam narrated: Four ingredients of Kuffar(Denial)
1. Arrogance, 2. Jealousy 3. Anger (resentment) 4. Desires
Abdullah ibn Mas’ud reported: The Prophet
‫ﷺ‬ said, “No one who has the weight of a
seed of arrogance in his heart will enter
Paradise.” Someone said, “But a man loves
to have beautiful clothes and shoes.” The
Prophet said, “Verily, Allah is beautiful and
he loves beauty. Arrogance means
rejecting the truth and looking down on
people.”
( Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 91)
َ‫ة‬َّ‫ن‬َ‫ج‬ْ‫ال‬ ُ‫ل‬ُ‫خ‬ْ‫د‬َ‫ي‬ َ‫ال‬
Abdullah narrated that the
Messenger of Allah ‫ﷺ‬ said:
"Whoever has a mustard
seed's weight of pride
(arrogance) in his heart, shall
not be admitted into Paradise.
And whoever has a mustard
seed's weight of faith in his
heart, shall not be admitted
into the Fire.”
(Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1998)

you disbelieved in He who created you from dust and then from a
sperm-drop and then proportioned you [as] a man?
Verse: 38
• Appropriate communication: Authentic,
Reality based, own stand.
But as for me, He is Allah, my Lord, and I do not associate with my
Lord anyone.
Verse: 39
• Reliance on Allah
And why did you, when you entered your garden, not say, 'What Allah
willed [has occurred]; there is no power except in Allah '? Although
you see me less than you in wealth and children,
“
Abu Musa (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah ‫ﷺ‬ said to me, "Shall I not guide you to a
treasure from the treasures of Jannah?" I said: "Yes, O
Messenger of Allah!" Thereupon he ‫ﷺ‬ said, "(Recite) 'La hawla
wa la quwwata illa billah' (There is no change of a condition nor
power except by Allah)."
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
‫باهلل‬ ‫إال‬ ‫قوة‬ ‫وال‬ ‫حول‬ ‫ال‬
Verse: 40
• All hopes and wishes from Allah
It may be that my Lord will give me [something] better than your
garden and will send upon it a calamity from the sky, and it will

Or its water will become sunken [into the earth], so you would never
be able to seek it."
Verse: 42
• Result of heedlessness
And his fruits were encompassed [by ruin], so he began to turn his
hands about [in dismay] over what he had spent on it, while it had
collapsed upon its trellises, and said, "Oh, I wish I had not associated
with my Lord anyone."
“
Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, ‫ﷺ‬ said, “If
Allah wills goodness for his servant, he hastens the
punishment for him in this world. If Allah wills harm for his
servant, he withholds punishment for his sins until he appears
on the Day of Resurrection.”
