Lake Dobczyce reservoir was created in 1986 near Wieliczka, Poland by damming the Raba River with a 30 meter high dam. The reservoir covers an area of 10.7 square kilometers and holds 127 million cubic meters of water. It provides drinking water to the nearby city of Krakow and generates hydroelectric power. However, it currently serves only functions of flood control and water supply rather than recreation due to water quality protections.
