This document discusses techniques for eliminating surface acne in graphics rendering. It introduces the phenomenon of surface acne and describes depth bias as a way to rescue it. It then explains how to use depth gradient to scale depth bias for different parts of a curved surface. Finally, it proposes using depth comparison as a fuzzy function to further reduce surface acne through uncertainty in depth values.
