Abstract
Before the 19th century, there are inner sea areas along the coast of southwestern Taiwan, called “Taijiang” in history. It is a lagoon that is sharp and narrow on the northern and southern ends and wide in the middle. The west edge in Taijiang, there are many sand bars. Between the sand bars, there are waterway and gateway to pass the ships. In the south of Beixianwei islet, it is in opposition to the Tayouan (Anping) and separated by “Dagang” (Tayouan harbor). From Holland, Mingzheng, Qing Dynasty, Japan and after the war so far, the appearance of this area and change of landscape were abundant and plural. Anping is a source point of history in Taiwan, the histories over the past 400 years, are kept in a lot of places, but there are many to disappear gradually. This research is to combine the digital culture and geographical information system (GIS), 3D modeling, virtual reality (VR) technologies and so on. Various maps and pictures in literatures are used to rebuild the scenes of Holland and present age. To simulate the 3D landscape from Taijiang Tayouan in the past to Tainan Anping in the current, we can experience the situation of with temporal axis and viewing angle. Using several digital technologies to support the visualization by interactive mode, it may pick up or reinforce the progressively vanishing image of Anping.
This document discusses the key differences between science and pseudo-science. It defines science as relying on evidence from meaningful experiments and testing of hypotheses, while pseudo-science lacks experiments and relies on subjective beliefs. Evolution and acupuncture are provided as examples of science, while flat earth theory and creationism represent pseudo-science. The document emphasizes that science is testable and falsifiable, while pseudo-science is not, and that scientific theories are constantly updated based on new evidence.
The Japanese as a Heritage Language Club aims to help students of Japanese descent maintain and improve their Japanese language skills. The club meets weekly to engage in activities like crafts, games, and conversations entirely in Japanese. Photos on the club's website show students participating in calligraphy, cooking, and other cultural experiences to celebrate their Japanese heritage.
This document contains a multi-part advanced algebra test with questions involving solving systems of equations and inequalities, graphing lines and regions, matrix operations, and predicting trends from data. The test assesses skills like determining slopes of lines, writing equations in slope-intercept form, solving systems by elimination, substitution and graphing, performing matrix operations, interpreting scatter plots and finding linear regressions.

This document provides information about the muscles in a cat's arm, chest, and rear leg. It lists the Latin names of specific muscles located in the arm, such as the clavotrapezius, acromiodeltoid, and triceps brachii. The chest section names muscles like the pectoralis major, xiphihumeralis, and latissimusdorsi. Finally, muscles of the rear leg are outlined, including the caudofemoralis, gluteus maximus, biceps femoris, and semitendinosis.
Certain cultural and language differences can both unite and divide groups of people. They acted as a uniting force in some nations but caused disunity in places like the Austrian Empire and Quebec. Politicians and governments also strategically use language to characterize enemies, spread propaganda, and spin military actions through terms that shape perceptions.

The document provides an overview and summary of the book of Genesis from the Bible. It includes summaries of the key events and people in 7 days of creation, Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden and their expulsion, Cain and Abel where Cain murders his brother, and Cain's descendants who were city builders. The summaries are accompanied by biblical references and chapter/verse citations from the book of Genesis.
Ireland has a long history dating back thousands of years with ancient sites like Newgrange from 3000 BC and Dun Aengus from 500 BC. St. Patrick brought Christianity in 500 AD and St. Brendan was a famous navigator. More recent history includes English rule starting in the 1500s under Henry VIII and Oliver Cromwell. The document provides driving routes along Ireland's scenic coastal roads in counties like Waterford, Kerry, Galway, and Antrim, as well as information on roads and motorbike racing events like the Isle of Man TT.
Abstract
Historical GIS (Historical Geographic Information System) is to extend the advantages of GIS to analyze the spatial data, trying to historical documents and maps in the hidden space to position description, analysis, and to reproduce the historical scene. In terms of the ancient maps, the complicated factors, for example, the different mapping technology, the different definition of measurement unit and the drastic changes of surface, make the geo-referencing of ancient maps with the degrees of uncertainty. The time is also one of the main information, the time of maps and historical events are recorded with such as a particular period, an era, a century or the whole incident. This makes the timeline markers have different order of magnitude. As noted above, the historical space database for the establishment of the difficulties faced by the point of this area is also often face HGIS problem.
For this reason, this study from the four-dimensional point of view, the integration of plane coordinates of the location, scale and time factors to construct maps of the digital database. In the description of space, we use the image pyramid concept, that is, the grid size is divided into four sub-grid sizes to allocate the position. In the description of time, we use the order of magnitude to stamp the historical event. This will effectively overcome the trouble of graphics database and time stamp construction of the ancient maps by GIS technology, so the researchers can get rid of the graphical view and the traditional way of comparison, and further using the statistical analysis or data mining approach to explore the development context of historical space.
Este documento explica el uso del verbo "to be" en inglés para afirmaciones, negaciones y preguntas en singular y plural. Muestra ejemplos como "I am Brenda", "You are a student", y "They are friends".
