PAST PERFECT CONTINUOUS - answers
Fill in the gaps using the verbs in parentheses in the past perfect continuous, or past perfect
simple, or past simple.

Repeated action

“Live” is like work, similar to a stative verb. Both are
possible
8 Suzy shouted at Paul when he arrived late. She had been waiting for him for 2 hours.

9 I gave Kate a gift. I had known her for 10 years. We had been dating for 6 months.
