The document discusses electricity production in Spain. Over one third of Spain's electricity comes from renewable sources such as wind and rain. In 2011, renewable sources accounted for 35% of Spain's electricity demand. The document also provides breakdowns of electricity production sources for the Spanish electricity system overall and for the company Iberdrola specifically. It discusses the environmental impact of different sources and provides data on carbon dioxide emissions and radioactive waste production for the national average and for Iberdrola and another company.
WolframAlpha is a tool that can quickly compute equations and be used for personal finances or education. ColorHunter finds color palettes easily and is useful for business presentations, websites, and home decor. SumoPaint is a fun, interactive way to create personalized images and designs such as logos.
The document describes a project for students and teachers to collaboratively create a four-page folder on a motivating topic of relevance in different languages and references. The folder would be published every four months, with topics covering people, places, objects, or issues of current significance or that are commemorated. It aims to integrate different school subjects and skills through a collective and multilingual project, developing key competencies including communication, digital skills, math, science, entrepreneurship and learning. An example issue could focus on Galileo Galilei, his life, works, legacy in science and culture, and modern connections.
The student teacher's original two focus students were disqualified, so a new clinical teacher found replacement students last minute. An assessment showed the new students struggled most with word problems. The lesson focused on problem solving strategies, where the student teacher modeled new strategies, had students practice them, and eventually create and solve their own word problems using the strategies. The students enjoyed the lesson, and the student teacher hopes to incorporate these strategies daily, although the clinical teacher said it wasn't possible currently due to large class sizes.
This document provides biographical information about a special education teacher at Dowagiac Middle School from 2010 to 2011 who taught English to grades 6 and 7 and all subjects in the resource room for grades 6 through 8. It also lists their educational passions as photo sharing websites, online backup sites, computer and internet safety, web conferencing software, and search engines.
The document provides background information on summarizing texts using the 5 W's and 1 H method. It discusses the purpose of the 5 W's and 1 H, provides examples of how to use them to summarize news articles, and outlines the lesson which will teach students how to identify and use the 5 W's and 1 H to create concise summaries.

Climate impact / sustainability of software testing discussed on the talk. ICT and testing must carry their part of global responsibility to help with the climat warming. We can minimize the carbon footprint but we can also have a carbon handprint, a positive impact on the climate. Quality characteristics can be added with sustainability, and then measured continuously. Test environments can be used less, and in smaller scale and on demand. Test techniques can be used in optimizing or minimizing number of tests. Test automation can be used to speed up testing.
