Handeling Christmas: The Son
In Isaiah 9:6-7, thousands of years of biblical history are spanned in the short course of a few sentences. The passage begins with the “son who is born to us”, pointing towards Bethlehem’s child. But the titles and job description that follow remind us that Jesus is the Eternal Son of God incarnate who will fulfill all of the prophesies concerning the coming King and His Kingdom. Thus, Bethlehem becomes the site of the greatest of contrasts, the fragility of a child humbly born in a feeding trough, and the destiny that is His. No king has ever been born in a lowlier way and no king will ever possess a greater rule and authority. He was born in Bethlehem but will reign in Jerusalem and in the New Jerusalem.

We have become accustomed to conflicting reports and advancing knowledge, and often that leads us question whether we need more than the Bible; something modern and relevant. But God assures us that in His Word He has given to us all that we need for this life and the next. Partakers of His Holiness
God is inherently holy, righteous, and just in his nature and cannot do wrong. He desires for humanity to partake in his divine nature and be holy as he is holy so that they can be with him eternally in glory. Therefore, humans must be born again spiritually and do what is right to become holy ones as God calls them to be in order to attain their hope of being like God forever.
Harvest - GIVE
Christian giving is different because it reflects God's generous character and is motivated by worship of God rather than selfish concerns. It values poor people as God values them and sees giving as an investment for eternity rather than something with just temporary value. Christian giving expresses worship of God through generous gifts that are a fragrant offering to him.

3. True salvation requires internal transformation, not just external reform, represented by sacrificial obedience to Jesus' demanding call.
Right vs. Wrong
Can we know absolutely whether something is right or wrong? What is our standard of morality? The only absolute standard we can have is to look back to the one who created us and imitate Him. We know right and wrong because it is the very character of God.
A time to celebrate

Honor the Key to Healthy Relationships
This was a training that I did with new members who were coming onboard with our Ministry Team. The first section uses a Family Systems approach to leadership. At our church we desire that leaders model the culture by three characteristics: (1) Affirmation - which is each member of the Leadership Team is for the success of others. (2) Expectation - Each member of the team has the courage to be realistic concerning the facts of a particular situation but they engage it with Hope. (3) Honor - Each member of the team are committed to treating others with dignity, grace, respect, and truth.
Solitary Refinement Slides, 5/30/10
David and his men returned to Ziklag to find it destroyed and their families taken captive by raiding Amalekites. David's men were angry and wanted to stone him. David found strength in God during this distressing time. The passage describes the Amalekites attacking and burning Ziklag, taking captive all the women and children, without killing anyone.
Farewell my friend
Farewell My Friend is a poem about saying goodbye to loved ones as the narrator's life comes to an end. It expresses gratitude for the friends who provided support during life's challenges and stood by the narrator's side. While death means separation, the narrator finds comfort knowing their memory will live on in the hearts of those who will remember them with a smile.
