If your house caught fire, and you could take 3 items with you, what would
they be and why would you take them?
If my house is burning, I will be panicked. I won't know for sure which would be the
most important objects to take with me. I would try to take my wallet, my laptop, and my
puzzles.
In my wallet, I keep all of my important documents, credit cards, and money. It will
be important to save these things from the fire. I may need them in order to pay for
staying in hotel or buying food, clothes, and things I may need. I would like to be
prepared for anything that may come to me after I lose my home. Also, in my wallet, I
keep many pictures of my friends. Before I moved to America, many of my friends gave
me their wallet pictures, so they can be always close to me. I keep in my wallet pictures
from when I was a little girl, and pictures of my relatives. Now, when I am here, these
pictures are the only thing that still make me feel that I have my friends always with me. I
would be very upset if I lose their pictures.
The second thing I would try to save is my laptop. My laptop pretty much contains
my whole life. It has my music, pictures, favorite movies, many videos, presentations,
important document files, etc. I have been collecting all these for quite a long time. I can't
2. imagine my life without my laptop. I have many memories in it. And yet we should not
forget that we live in the 21st century ... age of computers.
At last, I would like to save my puzzles. The puzzles are my hobby and I spent a lot of
time to make all of them. Sometimes I feel that this is the only thing I can do to relax
from a monotonous routine. I stay alone with my thoughts and then I found my
philosophies on life. Finding puzzle pieces, and I find the answers to important questions
that I have asked before, but I had no answer. They have much sentimental value for me
and I keep them on the wall in my room. I have around 15 of them. They are all over
1000 pieces. I love my puzzles, they bring peace to my soul when I look at them and
make me feel calm.
Every person knows which are the most valuable things for them to save. My wallet,
my laptop, and my puzzles are the most valuable (material) things for me, and I would be
happy if I get a chance to save them from the fire. And yet ... I hope that this will never
happen.
