This document provides a ranking of top engineering colleges in India based on a survey conducted by Competition Success Review. It ranks the top 5 engineering colleges as Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, and Institute of Technology Banaras Hindu University. It then provides further rankings of engineering colleges under categories of super excellence, excellence, and promising excellence. The rankings are based on scores given to colleges in categories like infrastructure, faculty research, admission process, placement and industry interface.

others did not respond for reasons not known to us. Since we do not believe in perception-based survey results, some of the
institutes including other IITs and known engineering colleges who did not provide the data, have not been rated and ranked.
We do not know where they stand in competing with the institutes that participated in this survey.
