The document is an exposure draft from the International Accounting Standards Board regarding a proposed new revenue recognition standard. Some key points:
1) The IASB and FASB are jointly developing new revenue standards to improve comparability between IFRS and US GAAP and clarify revenue recognition principles.
2) The proposed requirements would apply to contracts with customers to transfer goods or services, superseding most current IFRS and US GAAP revenue standards.
3) The core principle of the proposals is for an entity to recognize revenue when it satisfies performance obligations by transferring control of promised goods or services to customers in an amount that reflects the consideration expected to be received.

With the penetration of internet getting deeper by the day online shopping is gradually gaining momentum. Online shopping has several advantages some of them being sheer convenience, wider choice and better value. Management pundits have envisaged several models in online shopping. One of them is Brokers model. As per this model, the customer requests for goods by selecting the suppliers’ webpage, the supplier in turn solicits the details of the order, validates the credit card and checks the availability of goods. After this the supplier confirms the order with the customer and fulfills the same. This model is flawed owing to the fact that there is an oversimplification of interaction between customer and supplier. Further, Model 2 also called the customization model dwells on customer enjoying more choices. Model 3, also referred to as contact model talks of customer enjoying a higher bargaining power.

Hur definieras det centrala begreppet 'fullgörandeförpliktelse' (Satisfaction of a performance obligation) ?

the utility-based ESCOs with the cases of Croatia and Uruguay;
the Governement-based ESCO with the case of India;
the private sector ESCO with the case of China.
It concludes with the examples of institutional development schemes in Tunisia and Ivory Coast.
