WIRELESS POWER TRANSMISSION

2. INTRODUCTION
 THE TRANSMISSION OF ENERGY FROM ONE PLACE TO ANOTHER
 WITHOUT USING WIRES.
 CONVENTIONAL ENERGY TRANSFER IS
 USING WIRES
 BUT, THE WIRELESS TRANSMISSION IS MADE POSSIBLE BY USING
 VARIOUS TECHNOLOGIES…..

3.  This picture which shows the first experiment which
had done by Nikola Testla on wireless power
transmission in his own laboratory.

4. PRINCIPLE OF WPT
 The basic principle of the INDUCTIVE POWER TRANSFER.
 The Voltage is converted into alternating current preferably, high frequency.
 The high frequency AC is transferred to the coil.
 The AC induces a magnetic field in the transmitter coil.
 The induced magnetic field generates a current in the adjacent reciver coil.

 Low maintenance cost
 Can be used for short-range

6. LOW RANGE EXPERIMENT
 In this picture shows the simple experiment for the
wireless power transmission in low range by the
winding of two coils.

7. LONG RANGE EXPERIMENT
 In this pictures shows the experiment for the
wireless power transmission for a long range by
like that of cellphone tower.

9. ADVANTAGES:
 The proposed system provides the solution for some of the main problems
faced by existing Indian grid system, such of wastage of energy, transmission
line fault.
 This method save a lot of energy for future use.
 We can detect the location from where the power
is being stolen which was not possible before.
 Optimized use of energy

10. DISADVANTAGES
 The capital cost for practical implementation is high.
 Interferences of microwave with present communication systems.
 Common belief fears the effect of microwave radiation.
 Geosynchronous satellites would take up large section of space.

11. BIOLOGICAL IMPACTS:
 But the radiation level is less than radiation from microwave oven and
higher than cellular phone.
 Thus public exposure to WPT fields would also be below existing safety
guidelines.
 Effects of long term exposure.

12. HOW SAFE IS WPT????
 Human beings or other objects placed between the
transmitter and receiver do not hinder the transmission
of power.
 Magnetic field tend to interact very weakly with the
 biological tissues of the body, and so are not prone to
 cause any damage to any living being.

13. Conclusion
 The issues for wireless power transmission have been described.
 This concept offers greater possibilities for transmitting power with
negligible losses and ease of transmission than any invention of
discovery here to fore made.
 We can expect certitude in next few years wonders will be wrought
by its all the conditions are favourable.
