Weekly Progress
From last week, ID students want to change function of our product. We used remote for
control process of product because ID students telled us “User maybe was inconvenient when
the product located far away and too much button”. On machine, It had five buttons (ON/OFF, 4
Modes , Sleep). For the other function of air purifier was remain the same. This week, ID
teachers and Engineer teachers discussed all function and over view of part designed.
For touch screen, Engineer students
made approximate circuit that has noise in line.
We must remove noise of circuit and limit area
in touch of user. Sound circuit, We should test
IC circuit (mp3) that output have square wave
or sine wave. Square wave has noise more
than sine wave that was smooth. A remote
control, we have to choose battery its can
supply. For infrared, It doesn’t response white
plastic so we maybe change color surface of
our product.

Strong Point
- Engineer students can write some function of product and design circuit into the device
because we know size of product and all function that ID students want.
Weak Point
- Engineer students don’t know to choose filter and motor for product.
Next Week Job
Engineer students should be to choose filter and motor for our product.

1. The 361 Degree Happiness Company engineering team updated their air purifier product design based on feedback from industrial design students to control the product remotely rather than using buttons. 2. This week, engineering and industrial design teachers discussed the overall functions and designed parts of the product. Engineering students worked on the touch screen, sound, and remote control circuits. 3. Next week, engineering students will choose a filter and motor for the air purifier product.
