22 Simple Smoothie Recipes

Like smoothies but don’t like the hassle? Here’s a list of 22 Simple Smoothie Recipes to get you going.
A couple of things before we start juicing it up.
Although these are simple recipes designed for you to easily prepare, you will need a heavy duty blender
and of course, a decent 8-inch chef’s knife to slice up stuff like carrots that will blend easier and thus save
time and protect said blender.
You’ve been warned
1. Pineapple, Coconut and Mango Smoothie
Ingredients:
1 Ripe mango, cubed
1 Small banana
1/2 Cup coconut milk
4oz Pineapple pieces
1/2 Cup orange juice
Directions:
Add mango, banana and coconut to your blender. Process until fruit is pureed. Add coconut milk and
orange juice and blend until the desired consistency is achieved.

2. Strawberry, Blueberry and Banana Smoothie
Ingredients:
1/8 Cup milk
1/2 Cup plain yogurt
1 Whole banana
1/2 Cup frozen strawberries
1/2 Cup frozen blueberries
Directions:
Put all the ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve.
Side Note: For non-dairy smoothies, substitute 1 cup rice milk for the milk and yogurt. Or, use soy yogurt
or milk instead of dairy.

3. Beetroot, Carrot, Apple and Ginger Smoothie
Ingedients:
3/4 Cup water
1 Large or 2 Medium beets, washed, ends removed and cut into wedges
2 Large carrots, peeled and cut into chunks
1 Large apple, cut into wedges, core removed
1-Inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled
Directions:
Add all the ingredients to your blender and blend until smooth enough to drink. Maybe through a straw, if
that’s you thing.

4. Melon with Kiwi and Mango Smoothie
Ingedients:
2 Kiwis, peeled and sliced
6oz Cantelope, cut into chunks
1 Whole Mango, cubed
1 Cup water
Directions:
Add all the ingredients to your blender and blend until smooth enough to drink. Garnish with a couple of
mint leaves and melon wedges if desired.

5. Apple with Celery, Pear and Broccoli smoothie
Ingedients:
1 Whole apple, core removed, peeled and sliced
2 Stalks Celery
1 Whole pear, pealed, core removed and sliced
2 Crowns of broccoli
3/4 Cup of water
Directions:
Add 1 stalk of celery and the rest of the ingredients to your blender and blend until smooth enough to drink.
Garnish with an extra stalk of celery.

6. Kiwi, Cucumber, Apple, Lime and Parsley Smoothie
Ingedients:
2 Kiwis, peeled and sliced
1 Whole apple, core removed, peeled and sliced
1 Medium cucumber (about 6in), peeled and sliced
Hand full of parsley
1 Cup of water
Directions:
Add all the ingredients to your blender and blend until smooth enough to drink.

2 Large kiwis
1 Cup of watermelon cubes

Ingedients:
2 Passion fruit, guts removed and shells discarded
1 Mango, peeled and cut into chunks

1/2 Cup of milk
Directions:
Add all the ingredients to your blender and blend until smooth enough to drink.
Reminder here: The seeds along with the gooey yellow meat inside the passion fruit is what we’re after. I
know this is not a very common fruit in the US, hence the reminder.

1 teaspoon coconut, shredded (for garnish)

1/2 Cup Milk (Full Cream, Soy, whatever your jam is)
