Solomos in 1865 in Zakynthos. It
was set to music by Nikolaos
Mantzaros . The greek title is
Hymnos is tin Eleftheria.
It was translated in English by
Rudyard kipling.

5. THE GREEK FLAG

• In the flag there are nine lines( 5
blue and 4 white)
• The lines are the syllables of
the phrase Freedom or Death.

of the sky and the sea and the
