Colonial and Post-Colonial Religious Tests as a Basis for the First AmendmentJoshua D. Zambrano
Religious tests, particularly in Virginia, played a major role in the creation of the First Amendment. Jefferson and Washington, both Jewish, and Madison, a Baptist, had to conceal their religious identities to overturn religious tests preventing those outside the state ecclesiastical establishments from running for office. In the 1770s, eight of the original thirteen states required public officials be Christian in their state constitutions, discriminating against Jews or religious minorities. Jefferson and Madison's legislation on religious freedom reveals their motives were anything but secular, as does an analysis of their political actions. Furthermore, Roger Williams' 'Bloudy Tenent of Persecution for Cause of Conscience' which mentions a 'wall of separation' was a pre-Lockean source for the First Amendment, and reveals even earlier sources, including a lost work by Martin Luther.
This document discusses how technology has advanced and impacted the field of political science. It provides examples of how tools like maps, printing presses, satellites, the internet, and online learning platforms like Blackboard have furthered political science learning and international relations. It also notes some issues with Blackboard and potential solutions to improve the online learning experience.
A still-incomplete bill to rewire the U.S. judicial system from scratch, making it consistent with the constitutional right to trial by jury rather than dependent upon judges, removing the travesty of plea bargaining, and instituting other reforms.
A pro-life healthcare bill providing universal healthcare by imitating the free market. The Vital Healthcare Act uses a grant process to sponsor hospitals to provide basic government healthcare, with patients voting on the quality of that care so that higher rated hospitals receive more funding and retain grant status. Also included are tort reform solutions which mandate liability sharing of medical lawsuit expenses by hospitals based on hours worked by doctors at the time of malpractice incidents and payment of legal costs by the losing parties in medical lawsuits to discourage frivolous lawsuits. The private sector is left intact apart from the prohibition of discriminating based on pre-existing conditions.
This is a generic bill designed to put another bill on the ballot for voting upon during the next election, which vote, if approved by 50% of Nebraska residents, shall result in bill passage. This bill makes the following accompanying arguments for passage via ballot referendum:
-Governments according to the Declaration of Independence derive their just powers from the consent of the governed and the founding fathers thus intended government to represent the will of the people.
-Prominent legislation should represent the will of the people and the best way to ensure this is by popular vote.
-Legislation passed by popular vote is more defensible, constitutional, and generally valid than that passed in other ways. As such it should prove more likely to stand the test of time.
-Any judge who should seek to overturn legislation passed through ballot referendum is a tyrant and dictator worthy of impeachment.
-Advances in voting technology remove any previous concerns about "mob rule" since democracy can now be calmly performed by vote in the calm of a ballot box without need for mobs, peer pressure, and emotionally-charged environments.
This document is a bill that proposes several reforms to compensate and protect college athletes. It proposes that university athletic teams must spend at least 30% of revenue on player compensation. It also prohibits the use of a student's name, image or likeness without consent and requires compensation of at least 10% of revenue if their name is used. Finally, it caps coach, NCAA and faculty salaries at $500,000.
This bill would impeach the activist judges overruling the will of the American people and the Legislative branch by dictatorially legislating gay marriage.
This is a bill to impeach judges who have, by overturning ballot referendum-based laws, violated the democratic principles at the heart of the U.S. Constitution and Declaration of Independence, and tyrannically infringed upon the religious liberty of the American people and the consent of those governed.
- The vast majority (88%) of the US federal budget is spent on five areas: healthcare, retirement, military, welfare, and interest on debt. The three largest areas are healthcare (26%), retirement (27%), and military (18%).
- The document proposes reducing spending in these three large areas in order to return the budget to surplus and pay down the national debt. Specific proposals include raising the eligibility ages for Social Security and Medicare benefits, reducing military spending by bringing troops home, and removing the healthcare mandate on employers.
- The savings would be used to fund a large public works program to employ unemployed Americans and stimulate the economy. Additional proposals aim to further reduce the deficit and encourage job growth.

Table 2 lists the top trading partners for the US and shows China has the highest trade deficit. Tables 3 and 4 provide additional context on minimum wages and taxes in countries with significant trade with the US.

How to Make a Field Mandatory in Odoo 17Celine George
In Odoo, making a field required can be done through both Python code and XML views. When you set the required attribute to True in Python code, it makes the field required across all views where it's used. Conversely, when you set the required attribute in XML views, it makes the field required only in the context of that particular view.
How to Build a Module in Odoo 17 Using the Scaffold MethodCeline George
Odoo provides an option for creating a module by using a single line command. By using this command the user can make a whole structure of a module. It is very easy for a beginner to make a module. There is no need to make each file manually. This slide will show how to create a module using the scaffold method.
