Jessica Kelliher of Lewis University was named the 2019 Ron Lenz National Player of the Year and was one of five players selected to the First Team of the 2018-19 D2CCA Women's Basketball All-American Teams. Conference Commissioners Association announced
Jessica Kelliher, from Lewis University, as the 2019
Women’s Basketball Ron Lenz National Player of the Year
as she headlined the All-American selections. The NCAA
Division II sports information directors from institutions
and conference offices voted for the teams.
Marissa Brown from West Liberty; Alexy Mollenhauer,
from Anderson; Hayden Priddy, from Southwestern
Oklahoma State and Mikayla Williams, from California-San
Diego, joined Kelliher on the First Team.
Kelliher became a two-time First-Team D2CCA All-
American as she averaged 24.3 points and 9.9 rebounds
in leading the Flyers to a 27-5 record. She led the country
in field goal percentage, 65.9 percentage. She finished her
career having scored the fifth-most points in DII history
2,770. She also surpassed the 1,000-rebound milestone
during the season.
Brown helped the Lady Hilltoppers return to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2016. She ranked in
the top six in the country in scoring, 24.4 points per game; rebounding, 13.0 per game and blocks, 114. She has
made more field goals, 328, than any other player in Division II in the last three years. She tallied 21 double-
doubles.
Mollenhauer guided Anderson to its first 30-win season since 2004-05, as she produced 22 double-doubles,
the second-best total in the country after she notched a total of two in her two seasons. She grabbed 369
rebounds, the fifth-best total in the nation. She also made 80 3-pointers. No DII player with at least 80
3-pointers registered more than seven double-doubles.
Priddy paced the Lady Bulldogs to a 33-1 record and their first appearance in the NCAA Division II Elite Eight.
She earned the Most Outstanding Player award for the Central Regional. She averaged 17.4 points and 3.6
assists per game in moving into second on the GAC’s all-time lists in both categories. At the Central Regional,
she averaged 21.7 points and shot 46.2 percent from the field.
Williams led the Tritons to an undefeated regular season and a 30-1 record overall. She topped the California
Collegiate Athletic Association in scoring, 19.9 points per game; field goal percentage, 54.9 percent and dou-
ble-doubles, 16. She averaged 10.5 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game. She also converted 80.9 percent of her
free-throw attempts.
