Fifteen students from Washburn Rural High School were selected to exhibit their artwork in the prestigious 2017 Regional Scholastic Art Show in Wichita. Several students received honors, including honorable mentions, silver keys, gold keys, and two students were even nominated for American Visions awards, which is a top honor equivalent to best of show. Clare Fallon received multiple honors, including 11 gold keys and two works nominated for American Visions.

Exhibit in Prestigious 2017 Scholastic Art Exhibition
Congratulations to the following 15 students for having their artwork
accepted into the 2017 Regional Scholastic Art Show in Wichita. The
Scholastic Art & Writing Awards is the nation's longest-running, most
prestigious educational initiative supporting student achievement in
the visual and literary arts. Washburn Rural High School had 37 works
selected from over 2100 entries which will be exhibited this year. The
exhibit opens Friday, January 27th and will close on March 5th. Winners
will be honored at the award ceremony held at the Mark Arts in
Wichita on Sunday, March 5th.
