This presentation was made at the 2017 NIB/NAEPB conference. Its purpose, to prepare, in advance, all non-profit agencies to diversify and increase their business pipelines. Because of current and forecasted* changes inside their, up-to-now, protected marketplace.
*Forecasted in 2014. With inputs from the American Foundation for the Blind, answers to combatting undesirable changes within the AbilityOne program led to a six-month tour of three continents – Africa, Asia, and Australia – to seek working solutions. These solutions involve extensive partnerships and deeper collaborations with new and existing customers.

3. Driving
In the driving seat, the biggest customer in the world, the Department of Defense (DoD). Their requirements are dynamic and
complex. They seek a trained supportive workforce. Especially one where they have a strong working relationship, and a long
history of doing business with. Are you ready? Do you need help to get ready?

4. Domestically and globally, the DoD customer is looking for innovative materials, products and services. And latterly, for those
items to be available inside an Amazon like, online marketplace (NDAA). Your competition is in the federal government
contracting ring too. They are going to disrupt it and they are well-prepared. What can you do if you are not?

5. Collaboration
Photographer, David Samperio
Lobbying, advocacy and legal actions only work if the strategy is smart. Otherwise, those wasted millions could be better spent
on engaging existing customers, so as to generate revenues. Speaking with Colonel Thomas Eccles III, M.D, he emphasised
how critical, collaboration is to the DoD. Our scientists can train your employees. And DoD promises to purchase.

6. Win-Wins
Ask yourselves this; Why would any business vacate its most competitive advantage? Factor in the years of good performance,
built up trust, all the experiences and the wealth of knowledge. Why would any business not see the win-wins in that?
