To Whom It May Concern
Re: Quach Xuan Mai Le
I am happy to provide this letter of recommendation for Quach Xuan Mai Le, who I have
known as a peer mentor in the University of Sydney Business School’s Peer Mentoring
Program during the first nine weeks of first semester, 2016.
The Business School Peer Mentoring Program aims to build social and academic
networks for commencing students in order to increase their sense of belonging to the
learning community of the School. This in turn leads to a more successful, productive and
positive personal and academic experience in first year for them.
Mai displayed a high level of commitment to both the program and their fellow students.
Mentors undertook training in leadership and teamwork, organisation, interpersonal and
cultural competence skills. Each small group met a minimum of three times, and
maintained weekly email communication. In particular, Mai has developed active
empathetic listening skills with her mentees and has demonstrated flexibility while
arranging her weekly meetings.
I am enormously grateful to Mai for their contribution to the Business School Peer
Mentoring Program, and with them every success in the future.
Sincerely,
Daniel Smith
