Greetings!
I just wanted to take the time out of my busy Community Activist schedule and share with Friends and the Public/World the News that I received earlier this year from Dr. Joseph Ramsey (Chairman of the Sports Hall of Fame) at Florida A&M University that the 1984 Women’s 4x400 Relay Team will be Inducted into the FAMU Sports Hall of Fame this Fall.
Let me say that I am very humble and moved to have bestowed upon me (as a Member of this NOTORIOUS and FABULOUS Relay of Powerful Women) such a Great Honor and the opportunity to have such Track & Field achievements become a part of HISTORY at the TOP and NO. 1 Black/African-American University in the United States of America!

1. Greetings!
I just wanted to take the time out of my busy Community Activist schedule and share
with Friends and the Public/World the News that I received earlier this year from Dr. Joseph
Ramsey (Chairman of the Sports Hall of Fame) at Florida A&M University that the 1984
Women’s 4x400 Relay Team will be Inducted into the FAMU Sports Hall of Fame this Fall.
Let me say that I am very humble and moved to have bestowed upon me (as a Member of
this NOTORIOUS and FABULOUS Relay of Powerful Women) such a Great Honor and the
opportunity to have such Track & Field achievements become a part of HISTORY at the TOP
and NO. 1 Black/African-American University in the United States of America!
WOW JUST KEEPING IT REAL: Then to go on to become one of the MOST SOUGHT
after Civil Rights Activist and Christian in the 21st Century by the Jews/Zionists and the
United States of America’s Government ONLY makes me smile. YES, I wear such attacks and
hatred against me as a BADGE OF HONOR! As I shared with the Lady Ratters in 2011, “That
if you would have told me when I was at FAMU (back in 1984) that in 2008, I would be
in Washington, DC addressing the attacks on Blacks/African-Americans, I would have
probably laughed” because I had my life laid out that I was going to get married, have four
children. . . . Also sharing, “If you would have told me in 1984 that the United States
Government would be out to destroy my life, I would have told you THEN, ‘They are
fighting a LOSING Battle!’” As you can see, God set me on an entirely different course!
2. During our (Mary Jones, Pamela Porter and Pamela Oliver) 2011 Reunion at the FAMU
Relays, my Teammates were NOT surprised that I have moved in the direction I am in today.
While I could have pursued FAME, FORTUNE, BACKSTABBED in the Climb Up The Corporate
Ladder, my PASSION has ALWAYS been for Civil Rights! Because even back in 1984, my
Teammates shared with me at the 2011 Reunion they saw the PASSION for Community
Activist/Civil Rights work while I (on the other hand) was NOT aware at the time the GIFT that
God had placed within me. What I did KNOW was that I have ALWAYS had a LOVE for God’s
People. I NEVER thought that I was SECOND Class to any other race. Neither did my parents
raise me to think that! I was ALWAYS determined to attend a Black/African-American
College so that my education was NOT tainted in a manner in which the WHITE man WANTED
me to THINK! As you can see, I have NO Regrets!
I close giving ALL Glory and Honor to God, the CREATOR and AUTHOR of my Life who
KNEW BEFORE I was born that such a DOOR in HISTORY would be opened to me!
To God’s CHOSEN Nation of People, I am just so humble and blessed to be
SELECTED/CHOSEN to serve you, the Public and the World on such a MAGNIFICENT and
ELEVATED Platform!
Closing with the slogan, “IF You DON’T Hear the RATTLE – Then FEEL The BITE!”
REMEMBERING what my Mother (Pearl Newsome) INSTILLED in me as a child – DON’T
ever FORGET where you come from and DON’T ever FORGET your people!
It was INSTILLED in me at Florida A&M University – “PROTECT The FAMILY!”
This being the REASON WHY you see LOVE in ACTION!
With PEACE and LOVE,
Vogel Denise Newsome
