This document discusses opportunities to enhance peer review processes, including improved pre-publication review tools, support for portable peer review, and aggregation of post-publication reviews. It then describes eLife Lens, a tool that links journal articles to reviews and comments. eLife Lens displays this information simultaneously in the browser using XML, JSON, and HTML. The document concludes by proposing additional features for eLife Lens, such as allowing authors to edit and reviewers to annotate directly in the tool.
