Applied Health Technology (AHT) is the name for a series of classes that teach students how to effectively apply technology to health promotion and education problems. The skills learned can also be applied to other areas. An online AHT class is being offered this summer that will teach students how to use freely available tools and technologies. There are plans to develop 4 additional AHT classes that would comprise a certification track covering topics such as programming apps, testing health applications, and a practicum.
Average Handle Time: How to reduce yours and improve customer satisfaction!eakoehler
This web-based training teaches bankers strategies to reduce their Average Handle Time (AHT) when assisting customers over the phone. Trainees will practice these skills on simulated calls and then apply them to real customer calls. Some strategies covered are having all needed resources available before calls, actively listening to customers, using call management skills, using speed dial features, and asking for supervisor help when needed. Trainees' goals are to achieve AHTs of 250 seconds or less through call simulations and applying these strategies. Lower AHTs will lead to better performance, higher customer satisfaction, and increased bonuses.
This document summarizes the average handle time (AHT) for an account over the past 6 months. The AHT target is 1 minute and 1 second, but the target was only met in July and September. Possible reasons for missing the target are listed as agents lacking motivation, high attrition rates, technology issues, and agents lacking basic information. The document provides recommendations in each of these areas to improve AHT metrics and ensure the target is met going forward, such as improving training programs, increasing agent satisfaction, and enhancing technical support.
The document discusses reducing average handle time (AHT) for a business credit services process at Genpact. The current AHT is 405 seconds, exceeding the target of 300 seconds set by the client, General Electric. Analysis found 46.61% of agents had AHT above the target. To improve AHT, the document defines a project charter to analyze causes of high AHT and identify improvements. Key metrics like AHT will be measured and potential factors like trainers, process knowledge, shift timing, gender and more will be analyzed to understand their impact on AHT. The goal is to improve AHT to the target of 300 seconds by November 30th without impacting quality.
Applied Health Technology (AHT) is a series of classes that teaches students how to effectively apply technology to health promotion and education problems. The first class was offered in 2011. An online class this summer will teach skills using freely available tools that can be applied to resumes. Future classes include programming apps and researching health applications. The 5 course track leads to a certification in AHT.

Why should I receive this Scholarship?
There are so many things I can say about myself, but one for certain is my unquenchable thirst for learning. However, I have experienced some traumatic times in my life as a young child age 5-year-old and an impending teenager age 12-year-old I lose first my mom and then my dad and the hardest thing anyone can go through is losing both parents.
I felt like my worst had out weighted my good, I remember that God is so and that he would never put more on me then I could bare. This quote reminds me so much of how I felt at only 12 years old. “The Journey of ‘’A Thousand Miles begins with one Step” Why I say it reminds me of me, is because this journey of even getting to the 12-grade seemed like a journey I would not have made it without my mom and dad. But I took that one step and I did not stop.
I am now my class Salutatorian. I did it all on my own with the help of God. Because it was many nights of homework, my grandmother could not help I just had to figure it out on my own. I am a very perspicacious young lady who drives for more learning is pushed into overdrive. I feel like this scholarship is for me because of my ability to not trip over stumbling blocks in life but to step over them!
I also feel like this scholarship will help me further my education and help me obtain my degree in culinary arts. When I earn this degree, I will like to take things a little bit further and become and entrepreneur and own my own chain of restaurants.

HIM 500 Final Project Guidelines and Rubric
Overview
Practitioners in health information management and healthcare informatics are expected to be keenly aware of new and upcoming technologies that might
benefit their organization. This becomes more complex as these individuals must also consider the impact that those technologies might have on the practice of
medicine at their institution. When faced with new technologies, leaders in health information management must evaluate the state of the organization and
make an informed decision that will affect the organization as a whole. This means addressing not just the needs of the health information management team,
but the needs of all roles within the institution, while also addressing any issues of compliance the organization might be facing.
For your final project in this course, you will imagine you have been hired as a contractor for a small medical facility to consult on the selection of a new
technology. Their organization has been struggling, so you must first speak to the state of the organization and then offer an informed recommendation as to
which of the technologies would suit the organization best. The project is divided into three milestones, which will be submitted at various points throughout
the course to scaffold learning and ensure quality final submissions. These milestones will be submitted in Modules Three, Five and Seven. The final product will
be submitted in Module Nine.
In this assignment, you will demonstrate your mastery of the following course outcomes:
Determine standard technology systems and their uses in modern healthcare institutions through analysis of current and historical technology use in
health information management and healthcare informatics
Analyze the interrelationship between various professional roles within healthcare institutions and their use of technology systems for informing
recommendations regarding health information technology systems
Determine the potential impact of violating health regulations and laws regarding health information technology systems on healthcare organizations
Develop health information technology recommendations for healthcare institutions that are compliant with health regulations and laws and ensure
ethical management of health information
Determine effective investment of resources in health information technology for healthcare institutions based on the needs of the healthcare
institution
