Curling Championship! Full Event Passes and Flex Packages
can be purchased by calling 1-800-970-7328, in person at
the Brandt Centre Box Office or online at
www.seasonofchampions.ca.
Criminal Record Checks
All volunteers are required to have a criminal record check
completed by the Regina Police Service. All volunteers
must complete the form in person at the Regina Police
Station, 1717 Osler St. You will be required to provide two
pieces of government issued identification.
We have provided a letter confirming you are volunteering
for a non-profit organization in order for the $30
processing fee to be waived. Take this letter with you
when you go! Negative response letters will be mailed to
you directly – please bring this letter to the volunteer rally.
In order to ensure that you will receive your response in
time for the rally, please complete the form at the Regina
Police Station by October 25.
Those residing outside the City of Regina are required to
consult their local City Police Service or RCMP Detachment
for criminal record check information and procedures.
Once you receive your negative response letter, please
email or mail a copy to our office.

joined our event after having spent 3 years as the Curling
Sport and Venue Planning Manager with the Vancouver
Winter Olympics. Neil’s event management team includes
Jan Betker as Office Administrator and Morgan Isaak as

Community Events
Our Community Events volunteers have already been hard
at work this summer promoting the 2011 Ford World
Men’s Curling Championship in Regina and the surrounding
area at golf tournaments, fundraisers and curling clinics.
This work will continue throughout the fall and winter. If
you would like to volunteer with our community events

Meet Derek Boe, Chair of the 2011 Ford World Men’s
Curling Championship.
Derek has been a long-time volunteer and competitive
curler in Saskatchewan. Born and raised in Hudson Bay, he
resides in Regina with his wife, Tracy, where he is a wealth
advisor at ScotiaMcLeod.
He is a board member of the Highland Curling Club and is
currently President of Curl Regina. Derek has served three
terms on the Sask. Curling Players’ Association and was co-
chair of the Sask. Tankard Provincial in 2006.
As a competitive curler, Derek has participated in eleven
Sask. Provincial Curling Championships. Off season, you
can find Derek on the golf course, where he is a member of
the Royal Regina Golf Club.
World Men’s Trivia
Q. Six Canadian men have won both a World
Junior Men’s title AND a World Men’s
Championship. Name them, the years they
accomplished the feats, and the skips they played
for.
