A training needs assessment was conducted to identify the training needs of various actors involved in operating slaughterhouse facilities, including managers, private operators and staff, service providers, health inspectors, and butchers. Training plans were developed for facilities in four locations. While infrastructure investments have not been made yet, the existing slaughterhouse operations are ongoing and being monitored regularly to assess performance and identify training needs. Technical and managerial support has been provided by AMTIP staff during facility visits, workshops, and meetings to support owners, service providers, users, and operators of the slaughterhouse facilities.
