This document discusses the mechanical properties of aluminum alloys and scalmalloy produced by additive manufacturing. It analyzes the ultimate tensile strength (UTS), elongation, and hardness values of different alloys printed in different orientations. Micro-tensile tests were conducted and fracture surfaces were examined. The alloys printed in the XY orientation generally had higher elongation but lower UTS compared to the Z orientation. Both alloys exhibited anisotropic properties depending on the printing orientation. The document also analyzes porosity in the different materials and how it relates to mechanical properties.
