Segmentazione di mercato per Capitalizzazione
Le soglie di capitalizzazione dei titoli variano per mercato così come variano a seconda dei periodi di mercato;
dagli indici Russell
•Large market cap segment : market cap > USD 1.3 bn
•Mid market cap segment : USD 1.3 bn > market cap > USD 200 m
•Small market cap segment : USD 200 m > market cap > USD 65 m
•Micro market cap segment : market cap < USD 65 m
altre (FESE - Federation of European Securities Exchanges, United States, ESMA, etc) sono soglie

investibile.
“ MSCI defines the large cap index as consisting of the 300 largest companies by full market
capitalization in the investable market segment, the Mid Cap Index as comprising the next
450 companies, and the Small Cap Index as consisting of the remaining 1,750
companies. The large cap and the mid cap indices, as defined above, are also combined to
create a separate index of the 750 largest companies in the investable market segment
ranked by full market capitalization.
