XAMPP installation
Wordpress installation
Created a wordpress account in localhost .
Know how to start the server to start xampp and wordpress, go to accessories >
terminal >give dir and the next line give sudo /opt/lampp/lampp start
Change the theme(eg: wp theme) ,modify the header using the custom header tool in default
theme and also by coding.
Themes ,widgets and plugins which are downloaded are to be placed in the following path
To add a theme opt/lampp/htdocs/wordpress/wp­content/themes.
To add a plugin opt/lampp/htdocs/wordpress/wp­content/plugin.
Modify the header,body,footer,sidebar,CSS
Learnt to add a new post, insert the picture to post, excerpt the post ,add link to the post,assign a
category to post and add suitable tags to the post.
Learnt to add plugins and widgets to the post.
Prepared a slides on web 2.0, wordpress,browsers,web 2.0 themes,templates and layouts, and
about our project opengov.in and uploaded it in slideshare.

2. www.opengov.in
I have been provided a project named opengov.in and I develop the site by adding contents .
I followed the 4D methodolgy and SitProSol .
In discovery phase, I have been asked to search for what is happening in the state and central
government.
In design phase, I have been asked to study and know about various
departments,administrations working for the government.
In development phase, I have been asked to prepare and post the contents,add tag,thumbnail
to the post.
In deployment phase, the contents posted by me will reach the public through our site.
Situation of our project is that “Dont know what the government is doing and why??”
and this is because “lack of information sharing between government and public”.
Problem of our project is that “Less attention to citizens problem” and “ interaction between
the government and public is less”.
Solution of our project is that “more interaction by e­learning” and “enjoy freedom of
information”.
Opengov.in deals mainly with “Democracy” and “Governance”
The main aim of our project is to
