China Medical City is a planned 25 square kilometer area in Taizhou, China focused on developing the biological medicine industry. It includes five functional zones: an R&D zone with centers focused on areas like biochemistry and cell therapy; a production zone with industrial bases for vaccines, medical devices, and biological products; an exhibition and trade zone; a healthcare and medical treatment zone with teaching hospitals and medical facilities; and an integrated matching projects zone to provide services and infrastructure support. Since being founded in 2006, China Medical City has established over 100 companies and research institutes and seen 100 pharmaceutical research results declared.
