A card is randomly selected from a standard deck of 52 cards.  What is
the probability that the card is a 10 or a face card (jack, queen, king)?

            How many cards are 10, J, Q, or K?

How many total cards are there?

In a class of 20 seniors, 17 have applied to a state university and 11 have
applied to a private university.  In all, 19 of the 20 students have applied to a
university.  What is the probability that a class member chosen at random has
applied to a state university and a private university?

When two six sided dice are rolled, 36 outcomes are possible, as shown.
Find the probability of the given event.

             a) The sum is not 2.

             b) The sum is less than or equal to 10.
