To learn what a Multitrack Recording is
To become familiar with the basic
recording techniques in Logic Pro.
5. TYPES OF
RECORDING
CLASSICAL
This aims to replicate as closely as possible a live acoustic performance. This
is often used for classical / folk recordings.
POP
This uses multitrack recording in which parts are recorded seperately. Effects
are used creatively. This is often used for pop music recordings.
6. TASK
In pairs, create a multitrack recording with Logic
You must have at least 3 tracks
Record to the metronome
Use your voice / instruments
Export your Multitrack recording as a Wav
8. HOMEWORK
Decide on a suitable piece to record.
Don’t be too ambitious! Don’t go over your 8 tracks.
Make sure it is around 3 minutes long.
Make sure you can get suitable musicians (don’t
choose something with a sitar solo)
