Pivotal Teleradiology provides remote radiology reporting services using specialized radiologists. They have well-defined quality processes and metrics. Specialists have expertise in many areas including neuro, cardiac, and musculoskeletal radiology. Turnaround times for reports are variable but on average 10-15 minutes for x-rays and 20-30 minutes for MRIs. All cases are reviewed by two radiologists before submission. They utilize secure VPN connections and DICOM gateways to transmit images from hospitals to their central server for reporting. Pivotal partners with hospitals and clinics needing additional radiologist support to reduce backlogs and wait times.
Accurate and legible documentation is essential for ASCs to improve their quality of care and revenue. Here are the solutions to improve ASC documentation.
HospitalSoftwareShop provides exhaustive RIS Software - Radiology Information System. Being web-based makes radiology software globally accessible. Software for radiologists offers widest range of diagnostics tests, direct integration with radiology equipment without manual intervention reduces errors and time, RIS is DICOM compliant
Power Protection for Digital Medical Imaging and Diagnostic EquipmentSchneider Electric
Medical imaging and diagnostic equipment (MIDE) is
increasingly being networked to Picture Archiving and
Communications Systems (PACS), Radiology Information
Systems (RIS), Hospital Information Systems
(HIS), and getting connected to the hospital intranet as
well as the Internet. Failing to implement the necessary
physical infrastructure can result in unexpected
downtime, and safety and compliance issues, which
translates into lost revenue and exposure to expensive
litigations, negatively affecting the bottom line. This
paper explains how to plan for physical infrastructure
when deploying medical imaging and diagnostic
equipment, with emphasis on power and cooling.

Electronic Patient Tracking Intro For Healthcare 2005Nick Nudell
Tracking of patients is important. Here's a presentation describing the first application of electronic technologies for patient tracking - that I authored as an employee of the City and County of San Francisco in 2004.
Teleradiology is a vital component of diagnostic medicine. With the progression of technology, there is an increasing need for specialised diagnostic services. This tool is expected to play a crucial role in providing these services to patients residing in remote areas. Several innovative and ingenious solutions resulting from technological advancements have revolutionised the healthcare industry, leading to a transformation of modern medicine.
Proposed Transport Protocols Suite for Wireless Medical Body Area Networksjosephjonse
Wireless Body Area Networks (WBAN) is the recent trend for localized and personalized medical services. For that purpose, several tele-medicine architectures and WBAN frameworks for patient monitoring have been proposed. This paper presents a new medical protocol MESETP (Medical Services Transport Protocol), that underlies data delivery for both real-time and non real-time medical services. Furthermore, performance tests of MESETP with existing real time protocols and non real-time protocols used by existing medical services are examined and comparison results are presented.

MUSCULOSKELETAL ,PEDIATRIC RADIOLOGY etc
TURN AROUND TIME [TAT] –
variable as per requirement
TIME TAKEN PER READ –
10-15 MTS FOR XRAY / 15 -20 MTS FOR CT / 20 -30 MTS PER MRI
[ THIS IS MORE THAN THE INDUSTRY AVERAGE TIME SPENT PER CASE
RESULTING IN VERY DETAILED & ERROR PROOF REPORTING]

4. Radiology Data transmission process :
PIVOTAL TELERADIOLOGY has a data transmission solution for the reading centers and sending centers/hospitals. It is a challenge to build a
secure and reliable IT infrastructure to meet the demands of TeleReporting. The complete hosted solution has been designed keeping the
TeleReporting needs with high uptime and security.
Deployment Architecture:
Central Server is deployed in the data centre & remote hospitals are connected over VPN. A simple DICOM Gateway application is deployed at
hospital end which receive simages from PACS/Modalities and upload s t to the central server. DICOM Gateway application takes care of data-
integrity, encryption, network failures (re-transmission) & enhances trouble-shooting.
Workflow
We provide access details for hospitals /remote centres. DICOM Gateway is installed at the hospitals/centers Remote centres are
connected either through VPN or Web.
Cases are pushed from Modality/PACS to DICOM Gateway and start uploading images to central server. Server keeps the track of
expected number of images and the total images received. After the complete dataset is uploaded, the case is viewed by
Radiologists & reports are entered. After the report is create the remote centre can login and print the report .
5. OUR REQUIREMENTS AT MEDICAL CENTERS / HOSPITAL ETC -
WE NEED THE FOLLOWING AT THE REMOTE MEDICAL CENTER/HOSPITAL -
BASIC COMPUTER – INTERNET – RADIOLOGY TECHNICIAN TO UPLOAD RADIOLOGY IMAGES
FROM THE RADIOLOGY MACHINES ONTO OUR SERVER – A PERSON WITH BASIC TECHNICAL
KNOWLEDGE WHO CAN HANDLE THE COMPUTER AND I.T.
RADIOLOGY PARTNERS-
WE WISH TO WORK WITH RADIOLOGY DEPARTMENTS IN HOSPITALS (private & govt )WHERE
THERES A SHORTAGE OF MD SPECIALIST DOCTORS,BACKLOG OF CASES,LONG WAITING
PERIODS FOR REPORTS OR A SECOND OPINION REQUIREMENT
MEDICAL DIAGNOSTIC CENTERS FACING SIMILAR ISSUES AS THE ABOVE
INDEPENDENT DOCTORS WHO WOULD LIKE A SECOND OPINION OR A FIRST OPINION ON
HIS/HER PATIENTS RADIOLOGY SCANS DUE TO HIGH PATIENT VOLUME WHICH HE/SHE IS
UNABLE TO HANDLE ETC DUE TO STAFF ATTRITION ISSUES MAJORLY FACED BY THE MEDICAL
INDUSTRY NOWADAYS.
NEXT STEPS FORWARD –
-ACCESS TO ABOVE MENTIONED RADIOLOGY DEPTS TO PULL IMAGES & EXECUTE
TELEREPORTING
-FREE TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED TO THE TECHNICIAN AT THE ABOVE TO HANDLE DATA
TRANSMISSION ETC.
-A PILOT PROJECT CAN BE INITIATED FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE HOSPITAL/MEDICAL CENTER ETC
TO UNDERSTAND HOW THIS SOLUTION CAN RESULT IN A HUGE TIME SAVING ,COST SAVING &
REVENUE GENERATION FOR THEM AS THEIR PATIENT VOLUME WILL INCREASE DUE TO QUICK
AVAILABILITY OF HIGH QUALITY MD SPECIALIST REPORTS.
